Repeatedly had sushi here for dinner during the short trip lately, because this sushi place opens 24hrs, and serves handmade sushi even at late night, when we were back in Ueno from all day shopping (as the Sushi Ko next door closes before 8pm)
The handmade sushi here is actually not bad. The store is quite busy even after 10pm.
For reference, 8-9pcs per person, together with hot sake and miso soup, it costs almost 5,000 yen, which seems more expensive than the other sushi places, believe this is because the long opening hours of this shop, which is not too bad for still being able to have handmade sushi at late night in Ueno Tokyo. The staff were friendly enough even with us not speaking Japanese, and there was no shortage of food or wait time around 9 pm on a Sunday. They also have nice little bins under the chairs for you to place bags or items you may have purchased into.

My wife and I did the chef choice platter with mushroom and soft egg tempura. I added a highball to combat the heat from the July day. The sushi was prepared quickly and tasted fresh. The tempura was tasty with the sauce having a nice umami flavor that added to the dish.
Overall if you're in Ueno I think this is a great spot to stop and enjoy...
