I had high hopes for this massage experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be more disappointing than relaxing - at times bordering on laughable or even embarrassing. From the start, the receptionist seemed distracted and more preoccupied with herself than with providing a welcoming or attentive reception. The initial impression was one of disinterest rather than care.

The young man assigned to my massage was polite, but clearly lacked experience. The foot massage consisted of a hurried, repetitive motion using his knuckles, applied in a superficial and mechanical way. It felt as though he was following a rigid script—repeating a motion a set number of times per area before moving on, without any real awareness or sensitivity to what the customer might need. There was no attempt to gauge pressure preferences or inquire about areas of discomfort.

My package also included a head massage, which unfortunately was even less effective. Instead of any actual technique, he simply rubbed my scalp with a stick in a way that felt more like an awkward itch-scratching gesture than a therapeutic touch. It was ineffective and uncomfortable, and I honestly felt more embarrassed for him than anything else. I kept waiting for him to switch techniques or offer something more meaningful, but that moment never came.

By the end of the session, I felt more tense than when I arrived. The lack of professionalism, skill, and basic customer engagement left me thoroughly unimpressed. At no point was I asked about pressure preferences or whether the experience was meeting my needs.

In good conscience, I cannot recommend this place. It falls short in too many fundamental ways, from staff training to basic...

Just wanted to mention that I am an Australian tourist visiting Japan for the very first time. I have never walked so much on a holiday in my life and my feet were just destroyed- Big Foot Spa was the perfect place at the right time!

We just walked in, didn’t have to book in which was wonderful.

I was seriously impressed by the excellent customer service provided by the lovely staff here and the treatments my husband🧖‍♂️ and I 🧖‍♀️ experienced here were wonderful and we feel so relaxed! ☺️ The price was very reasonable as well 💖🥹

We got the 20min Dr Fish treatment and the 40min Foot massage. I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep 😅 My husband even ended up impulsively booking a 40min Calf massage bc he felt that his Foot massage was so immediately effective.

I must say that the interior of this spa is just so beautiful (very chill vibes with the background music and the sound of the water) 🌸, the facilities are so clean 🧼 and the furniture is so comfortable 🤩

Also a sweet bonus is that you get free little snacks and drinks after the treatments!

Overall we were both so impressed- it was definitely worth it and we would come back here again when we come back to Japan in a few years time 😄❤️

My feet have never felt so clean and smooth- the fish did a marvelous job at getting rid of all the dead skin on my feet- I’ve got really bad ezcema so there was quite a lot of it, I was a bit worried bc I’ve never used this service before but it didn’t hurt- more ticklish than anything 😜 but I feel like I have baby feet now with how soft my skin feels!

Exceptional!! After a week of walking over 20,000 steps daily, my husband and I were in desperate need of relief. Thankfully, we found this incredible foot spa and, without a prior booking, they graciously accommodated us, thank you so much for that! The massage itself was hands-down the best we’ve ever had. The therapists were incredibly attentive, melting away every ounce of pain and leaving us feeling completely renewed. My therapist spoke excellent English and shared insightful observations about my health based on the massage. She even translated the feedback from my husband’s therapist, who was equally amazing. The spa ambiance was lovely, with thoughtful touches like a complimentary snack and beverage bar, such a nice surprise!
