We went there end of September during a trip to Japan, we found a small sushi shop in lost in a small alley with good review and decided to give it a try.
First a nice lady at the reception was really nice and very welcoming. When we sat down, we got the explanation on how the sushi worked. It's really simple, ou have a menu, with information written in Japanese, but also translated into romanji and a small explanation of what it contain in english as well as the price. You ask directly to the chef the kind of sushi you want and they make it in front of you. Each sushi is labeled with a plate color that indicate the price. And at the end, you just add all the plate and pay what you ate. The sushi is very fresh as they prepare everything as you order and they are masterfully done.
To order is very simple, you just say: "Sumimasen, (the thing you want) kudasai" And there is only one last thing to do, enjoy your meal.
There are also a moving tray with sushi that the price was reduced, I'm assuming that it's the end of the fish or the last tray of rice, but don't be affraid, they are as good as the one you order.
The ambiance is good, the chef is cheerful food is AMAZING (my personnal favorite was the Unagi sushi (eel sushi))
I ate for 2000yens worth of sushi and I was full and very happy of my meal.
They also serve very good nihonshu (sake) to go with the sushi.
Really, if you go there, you wont be...
Read moreWent because it was featured on “Kodoku no Gurume” TV show. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. The prices were very reasonable. The fish were all frozen, defrosted and lacked any firmness. Felt as if left to defrost overnight at room temperature type texture. They did have a huge variety of types of fish on hand. Many types of fish that you would not find at high quality places because of availability to get fresh. There was no freezer burn on any of the fish I ate, but the flesh lacked the firmness of anything recently caught. Fast paced and very lively. We sat in front of who appeared to be the head chef and you just yell out what you want and they get it for you. The staff were attentive, quick, and accurate. I’ve had better sushi, but an experience that one should have for a quick turnaround...
Read moreDespite its small size, this conveyor-belt sushi restaurant offers sushi made with fresh fish at reasonable prices. During lunch time, you can order a sushi set or a kaisendon (a bowl of rice topped with seafood) for an even better price. The restaurant is crowded both during the day and at night, but customers change quickly, so you can enter without waiting too long. However, the restaurant is small, with only counter seats, and the space between the seats next to you is narrow, so some people may feel cramped. Even so, this restaurant is recommended for those who want to eat delicious sushi quickly and at a...
