This place was not just a great meal, rather, it was one of the most beautiful experiences we have ever had, taking into account the greatest variety of plates we were served in the omakase course. We were full but the food was SO good that we just had to keep eating!! We left with our stomachs and hearts filled with joy.

As a vegetarian visiting a sushi spot, I expected to get by on rice and miso soup—but once they understood I couldn't eat fish or meat, the server and sushi chefs put their heads together and came up with a series of options as expansive as any of their set menus—ginko nuts, boiled eggplant, sesame tofu with wasabi, omelette... They even went altogether off-menu to improvise some (excellent) veggie tempura.

Read moreWe went about 1:30 PM so it was a little slow as they close at 3PM before prepping for dinner. The staff were extremely friendly to us as English speakers. The waiter recommended a sake that we loved. Tried several types of fish we had never experienced including a belly cut of the tuna that was absolutely out of this world. Everything was so fresh and amazing with the chef crafting each bite by hand.
