Visited Sushi Kiichi in Ebisu for their special âGood Fortuneâ Omakase Course (24,200 yen). From the very first bite, it was pure happiness in every mouthful.
The meal started with fresh firefly squidâsafe and carefully prepared in-house. Then came delicate white fish sashimi with red koji salt and wasabi, followed by an unexpected surprise: shark fin soup with sea bream broth. Unique yet heartwarming!
The sushi itself was absolutely stunning: live prawn topped with uni, crab with uni, multiple types of uni for tasting, akagai, aji, chutoro, kohada, shimaaji, oysters, anago, and more. The star for me was the kohadaâperfect balance of sourness and umami, absolutely unforgettable.
One of the highlights was the famous âKorokoro Roll,â made with fatty tuna collar and the root of white scallionâumami explosion in every bite. Worth the visit just for this!
The course ended with shijimi clam miso soup and fresh watermelon dessert, leaving a lingering sense of comfort and satisfaction.
Not only was the food exquisite, but the service was warm and thoughtful, with detailed explanations about each dish, making it a truly memorable dining experience.
