I’m in love! We had an amazing experience today:
🥙FOOD: we got the lamb plate and the Ta-im special plate. They were so flavourful!! Best lamb I’ve ever eaten. So tasty, crunchy outside and extremely tender inside. The hummus was uh-ma-zingly creamy and delicious. The pita bread was ahhh so fluffy and warm! The falafel: heaven! Perfect texture+flavour combo. The veggie soup was so yummy as well! I think it was a pumpkin soup. So comforting! Remember to throw all the sauces on everything! So good!
👨🍳SERVICE: they’re so nice! The chef was so cheerful and friendly, he brightened up the room. We got free tea and chocolates at the end of our meal too! 🥳
🏠The environment is cozy, informal and friendly.
🕦📆We visited at around 11:30 / 12:00 on a Sunday and there were different seats available.
Can’t wait to go back!!

As a Turkish person familiar with the cuisine, I can confidently say that everything I had was delicious – especially the lamb, which was exceptionally tasty. I would return just for that! I also tried their Israeli alcohol, which is similar to sake, and I really enjoyed its flavorful taste.
They served their falafel and fried eggplant with tahini, which was delicious (it’s not easy to find good tahini in Japan), and I definitely enjoyed their version of Yuzu Kosho 🫶🏻
The falafel was decent, though I’ve had better, so there might be room for improving the recipe. One small note about the Turkish coffee: it comes with cardamom—a twist more common in Arabian-style coffee (as seen in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar), whereas in Turkey we typically serve it without cardamom unless specifically requested.
Overall, a delightful...
Read moreDon't deviate from Ta-im's strengths. The lamb, hummus and soup are AMAZING. The salad (tabbouleh) was disappointing - a tiny serve with very little cous cous.
We also ordered the falafel, trio of dips, and cinnamon sticks (mince shaped around a stick of cinnamon) which were all fine.
Some items were better value than others. If we were to order from here again, we'd get a lamb plate for each person. The lamb is succulent, the 'plate' includes soup, hummus, 3/4 pita, perfunctory salad and some thinly sliced and fried potato.
I wouldn't mind trying the special Israeli salad with avocado but am worried I'll be disappointed by that as well as salad doesn't seem to be their strength.
The photo I shared cost over 8000 (note the pita was in the oven, the bread below is tortilla wraps cut into pieces that we prepared ourselves by baking in the oven at 130C...
