We came here for dinner recently and the experience was unpleasant. While the food was decent, the service was abysmal. The main waitress who took our orders was the only professional one. The other waitstaff, particularly the waitress who served tea/coffee and dessert, displayed a shocking lack of professionalism. Not only did they gave my party disdainful looks, but also seemed to discriminate against us as we weren’t Japanese. Our meal took an unreasonably long time to arrive, and their attitude was consistently rude. Toward the end of our meal, the waitress with the cart approached our table to ask if we wanted tea or coffee. Her tone was curt, and she appeared annoyed. She was very impatient and awful. Later, when she returned with the dessert cart, her attitude worsened. It was evident that she didn’t want to serve my table, unlike the neighboring one. Given the reputation of Japanese hospitality, I expected better or at least decent service. Unfortunately, Teppanyaki 10 at Shibuya fell far short of those expectations. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience. If you are looking for good food and respectful service, I suggested exploring other options. After reading other reviews, it seemed like many others...
Read moreTOURIST TRAP! We ordered the ¥7700 set and it was very disappointing. The seafood dish was only 2 pieces of shrimp, and “Today’s Seafood” was 1 piece of oyster! The steak dish was average beef and so little. The cheese omelette was like something you can get at a breakfast buffet. If you’re not planning on drinking a lot don’t order this set.
All of the dishes served to us were all very average, not even worth ¥5K which is the set without seafood and unlimited drinks. I really don’t know why this place is highly rated. This place is a rip-off.
For the reviewers who said this was the best meal of their life (which we believed and why we went to this place for our final meal in Tokyo) probably haven’t been to a lot of restaurants in Tokyo, or they were lucky enough to be served different dishes from the menu nowadays.
We were checking the photos of the other reviewers and wondering if the restaurant downgraded to lower cost and changed their menu???
Spend your money elsewhere, there are so many other places that serve great food for this price and we wish we spent our money and last dinner in Tokyo...
Read moreI've been here twice. The first time, 7 of the things that we wanted to order were sold out (and the menu is not huge, probably 25 dishes available). Not the best first experience, but we had some good wagyu and decided to give it another go.
The second time we had lobster, wagyu, mixed vegetables, mixed mushrooms and garlic rice: each of them were overcooked, lobster and wagyu in particular were very disappointing, considering that they're pretty expensive. Wine was average too. The bill was very high compared to the quality of the food and the overall experience. They wanted us to pay cash and pretended they didn't have credit card facilities, which they actually have; they allowed us to pay card only once we showed them our empty wallets.
I'd recommend you spend your money...
