Tharros — Restaurant in Tokyo

Made a reservation for lunch to celebrate a anniversary. We were very disappointed in the service.

The waiter took us to our seat and just left without saying a word. When I asked the waiter to come over he acted annoyed. We ordered the course meal expecting that we would splurge for a nice lunch for our celebration. Out of the 4 dishes only the salad and the spaghetti were palatable. The second pasta had some sort of dried meat that smelled and was overly chewy. This is not a quality that I look for in my meals. Anyhow expecting that we would at least have a decent desert we were sorely disappointed. Desert was basil panna cotta with pineapple. The pineapple was the absolutely worst pineapple we have ever tasted.

For this incredibly disappointing experience we paid ¥3,800 a person which for the quality and service is was ¥3,000 overpriced.

It's safe to say that we will not be going back...

We had a very disappointing and disturbing experience at this restaurant.

At the end of our meal, one of our female colleagues—who is Chinese—was suddenly and unreasonably scolded by the manager. The manager then told us never to come back, without any explanation. The only possible reason seemed to be her nationality.

As professionals working in the food and hospitality industry, we were shocked and saddened by such discriminatory behavior. No guest should be treated this way based on where they come from.

The food may have been decent, but no level of cuisine can justify intolerance or disrespect. We sincerely hope the management will reflect on this unacceptable behavior and take steps to ensure that all customers, regardless of nationality, are treated with the dignity...

If you’re in Tokyo, specifically in the Shibuya neighborhood, and looking for an alternative to Japanese cuisine, you simply must visit this wonderful Italian restaurant. Its entrance is quite unique, and the decor —with typical furniture— makes you feel like you’re standing in front of a small Italian terrace.

Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed. The staff was incredibly friendly and invited us to sit wherever we liked. We were served by an excellent waitress who explained the menu very clearly… in Italian! Hard to believe, but true — she had lived in Sardinia and knew a lot about its cuisine and culture.

The food was absolutely outstanding. The flavors were so authentic that, for a moment, it truly felt like we were in Italy. Without a doubt, it’s a place...
