Great cafe mocha, not the nicest service.

They rarely open, please check their instagram, they are quite random. we came at 5pm and was take out only mostly sold out for dessert. but excited to find it open and brought my foreigner boyfriend and he took a scone wrapped in parcement paper placed on the counter openly. The barista then said ‘do not touch’ in japanese and took it from his hand despite him wanting to know what flavour is the scone.

So I asked, is this not for sale? She said it is, and took a scone in a clear plastic and showed us as if it is a matter of fact when it was hidden behind a japanese only written tag.

Please, if he were a Japanese, she would not have said it harshly and directly, she would have describe the flavour. The flavour is written in Japanese so he is trying to find out.

西新宿五丁目駅から西へ清水橋交差点を渡って徒歩5分ほど。 週に1〜3回ほどしか開いていないコーヒーショップ。 開店日時はインスタに掲載されているのでそちらをご参照ください。 店内は二人テーブル2つに一人テーブル、カウンター4席ほどとコンパクト。 マーシャルのスピーカーから流れる古いジャズが渋いお店。

メニューはドリップコーヒーにカフェオレ、エスプレッソメニュー数種にチャイやレモネード等。 お供はカスタードプリンやスコーン等の焼き菓子に日替わり？のケーキ類が少し。

今回はドリップコーヒーにプリン、胡桃の全粒粉スコーンをいただきました。

コーヒーはお店のブレンド一択で、オールド熟成のブラジルのようなハーブ系というか香草と書きたい変わったアロマ、口当たりはトロっと感じるぐらい滑らかで、香ばしく砂糖なしでもとても甘い仕上がり。 この質感提供できるお店は老舗の喫茶店でも僅かで、前述のアロマに好き嫌いがありそうですがコーヒー自体はとても丁寧で美味しいです。 ぜひこのドリップコーヒー飲んでほしいですね。

カスタードプリンは、焦がしカラメルが少しビターで、本体はやや固めのプリン。 本当にカスタードを焼き固めましたという感じの滑らかクセのないクリーム。 カスタードプリン特有の卵を焼いたような香りも控えめでコクと甘さのバランスが最高です。

胡桃全粒粉スコーンザクザク食感なのですがほろっと解けるようになくなる絶妙な食感。 甘さ控えめで香ばしく、使っている小麦やバターも上質でどこに持って行っても恥ずかしくないとても美味しいスコーン。 開いている日が限られますが、タイミングが合えば手土産によさそうです。

店内席数もかぎられますが、一切の写真禁止ですのでバエがたかることもなく、美味しいコーヒーとペイストリーを堪能できます。 （一応商品提供から1時間まで） 店主のお姉さんがワンオペですので、混雑時はやや待ちますがこれだけのものを提供していただける...
