I've been thinking about my time in Tokyo lately and this place ALWAYS comes to mind! I guess that means it was time to write about it. For me it just reminds me of how much I would frequent it if I still lived there. It's one of those places you'd hit up day to day, on your way to the station because it's right below it! Seriously, it's along the tracks. These workers must be bothered by the noise -- I sure would be! However, it's definitely something you won't hear once you're entranced by the smell of the freshly baked Melonpan. I've never seen them come out of the oven before, as I usually passed by places whose counters were fully stocked, and their kitchen was hidden behind a curtain or door. This place is so small that there's really nothing to hide. That's fine with me! I love seeing everything that goes on. And back to the food. Ugh, so good. It really doesn't get old. Regular melonpan, melon flavored melonpan, chocolate chip, cinnamon, green tea, milk tea.. The list goes on. Every flavor is worth a try! They also have other sweet treats, like pies and croissants.. Agh! I'm drooling just thinking about this hole in the wall again. Someone take me...

The best melon pan-ery ever. Granted, I’ve only been to this one, but I don’t need to see any more after this.
They sell different variations of the classic melon pan: chocolate, cinnamon, matcha, etc. for ¥200 each.
A crunchy but not hard crust, a soft and airy middle. Simple and delicious. They also sell classic pastries like croissants.
One of the workers there is especially nice - she lent me and my son an umbrella when it was raining even after I insisted ‘No’ a few times. An angel!

Read moreThe male staff with black glasses is very terrible. I came here several times since my school is nearby, he is always rude and terrible. I paid by pasmo yesterday, when it was not scanned well, he yelled at me not to touch my phone.. eventually i paid by my credit card. He made my day terrible. What an awful person. The owner should seriously reconsider to keep him. This is really shame on the shop. I have never seen this terrible staff in Japan. This is very regretful point. I recon similar reviews lined up here, please take...
