There was two types of Katsudon : Ume (1,500 yen) and Matsu (1,800 yen), but since I was feeling a bit hungover, I ordered the Ume with loin.
After ordering, a salad was brought to me right away. After that, I didn't hear from them for a while, so I started eating, but when I finished eating, the Katsudon was not yet served.... After a while, it finally arrived.
Beautiful‼ Underneath the Katsu was a thin omelet. Underneath the omelet, seasoned rice was hidden, but this time it was in a state of Tsuyu-daku. The fatty meat melted in my mouth. Nice!! On the other hand, the lean meat was a little overcooked and dry. This may be because the meat was too thick. The rice was seasoned strongly, but the Katsu was not seasoned, so I poured a sauce onto the Katsu. It's fine and tasty, but I have not yet used to this style...
Read more非常に質の高いトンカツが食べられるレストランです。 京急蒲田駅から徒歩1分と経たない商業施設にあり、駅と施設をつなぐ通路には屋根があります。天気が悪い日も利用しやすく、また車椅子等の障碍を持つ方や大きな荷物を持つ方でも気軽に利用できます。一見するとカウンター席のみに思いますが、テーブル席もあるため、4人等のまとまった人数でも利用できます。 キツネ色に揚げたトンカツもありますが、低温でじっくりと時間をかけて揚げたことで、衣がほとんど変色しない白色のままの『白ヒレカツ』が特徴的です。トンカツの衣ならではのサクサク感は少なめですが、低温でじっくり揚げているため、肉そのものの旨味を存分に味わえます。肉は見た目こそ生のようですが、芯までしっかりと熱を通しています。柔らかく拵えられており、しかも肉汁も少なめであるため、ヘルシーな料理としてもお勧めできます。トンカツをより美味しくする調味料として、ソースだけでなく塩や自家製かつお出汁のみぞれ汁等が用意されており、様々な味を楽しめるのもこのレストランの魅力の一つと言えます。 大切な人との楽しいひと時、あるいは自分へのご褒美としてお勧めしたいレストランの一つです。
This restaurant serves very high quality pork cutlets. It's located in a commercial facility less than a minute's walk from Keikyu Kamata Station, and the walkway connecting the station and the facility has a roof. It's easy to use even on bad weather days, and people with disabilities such as wheelchairs and people with large luggage can also use it easily. At first glance, it may look like it only has counter seats, but it also has table seats, so it can be used by a group of four or more people. Some pork cutlets are fried to a golden brown color, but the most distinctive feature of this restaurant is the "white fillet cutlet", which is fried slowly at a low temperature so that the batter remains white with almost no discoloration. The batter is not as crispy as that of ordinary pork cutlet, on the other hands, because it's deep fried slowly at a low temperature, you can fully enjoy the flavor of the meat itself. We ate a third of the curry before realizing we forgot to take photo, it was that good. English menu is available and the friendly staff made recommendations for which sides and sauces to use for each dish. We ordered fried horse mackerel the second visit and it was also delicious. Both sets are highly recommended. When I come back to Japan this will be the first place I come to eat...
