Tori Ichidai — Restaurant in Tokyo

We had samgyetang (生雞汤) and the mixed grilled skewers, both were good. The service, however left much to be desired, as we had the most confusing time ordering, and felt like they were trying to rush us out. While we were trying to order the samgyetang, the waitress told us that we needed to wait for 15 minutes, when we tried to clarify, she replied with 20 minutes and recommended that we order something else that will take less time. We said that we were OK with the wait, and proceeded to order (it was ready within 10 minutes). Then we asked if we could have hot tea, the waitress said they don't have it, but when I pointed at green tea on the menu and told her I wanted it hot, she was fine with taking...

Very popular chicken restaurant, if you don't come early, you'll most likely have to wait in line. They have some crazy options for rice, but first-timers should stick with "normal". The specialty minced & grilled chicken is rich and a bit salty, but delicious. I'd recommend either the chicken cutlet or chicken tartar over the signature dish, but it is something you won't find elsewhere. Conclusion, great place if you are in the mood for chicken!

Edited on 2025: they have changed the chef and turns to be the worst experience i had. They even give me the wrong yakitori
