Trattoria Restaurant CARESS — Restaurant in Tokyo

Updated in 2022: This restaurant has become one of our regulars for a relaxed weekend lunch. While still on the pricier side, quality of food and location is sublime. We stick to the pork ribs porcini pasta (one of the best pasta dishes we've had in Tokyo) and any of the appetizers (highly recommend the truffle mayo cheese fries) plus dessert. These really stand out for us, along with a nice prosseco or Italian beer.

Awful! Firstly, I ​stumbled upon a cockroach on my bag while waiting for the order. By the way, I had caught a movement to drop the cockroach on the floor from my table that the manager did before offering me a seat. Even though I was sitting on the veranda, I expected the restaurant to provide good service and protection from insects. Went there with friends for a triple birthday celebration. I'm picky with my pasta because I cook pasta well myself, so I was pleasantly surprised that I can get really good pasta in Tokyo, and I think for the location and service, the pasta pricing was good.
