This was my 2nd visit and this got me so disappointed. The first time I was there everything was great - food, service and well the atmosphere was just okay. The seats were a bit cramped but it was bearable. The 2nd visit however was so totally different from the first time.
The servers were foreigners and we didn’t mind at first til they made a mistake serving our supposed to be food to the other table. The other table’s party just got seated and ordered, so we were kinda envious at first that they prioritized them over us. Turns out it was our order that they served to them. They talked it out with the other table and the staff took back the one order that wasn’t touched by the other table. Later, they served it to us. Now, I’m not so sure if that’s exactly the same thing that was given and taken from the other table but it looked like it. After that mistake, they kept us waiting for long again, and they even forgot to serve our other orders.
The food was so so for me but my companion got hurt from a big bone of his food. We were expecting small bones but there was one big bone.
I don’t usually write these kind of bad reviews but the 2nd visit was really terrible for us that we decided not to go...

I ordered the Hitsumabushi, and it was such a great way to enjoy my eel! The stock was super delicious, not too salty but very flavourful, but didn’t overpower the taste of the eel. The portions were just perfect, didn’t leave feeling like I was stuffed, yet not too much so that I’m wasteful.
I also ordered the egg roll with eel, and the combination was perfection! The egg was fluffy and the eel (though it could’ve been a thicker piece) paired well in terms of flavour.
I was craving eel, and this totally hit the spot. Highly...
Read moreSpeaking for foreigners who only understand a bit of Japanese. I find the service at this store to be very unsatisfactory, at least much worse than a few years ago when I last visited. Our group consisted of three people. Upon entering, the male staff informed us that they couldn't seat us on the second floor and asked us to wait outside for a while. Subsequently, two more groups of customers arrived and were allowed to go directly to the second floor to be seated, leaving the three of us waiting outside feeling foolish. It was only after some time that they finally informed us that seats were available at the counter. But apart from that their food is...
