Alright, so picture this: two tired travelers, bags in tow, zombie-walking through every terminal in Narita Airport in search of that last sushi fix before heading back to the land of boring sandwiches and sad airport salads. We’re hangry, on a mission, and my step counter is screaming. Just as we’re about to settle for some stale-looking rice bowl, BAM—there it is! Uogashi Nihon-ichi, glowing like the Holy Grail of sushi.
We bee-line in, get greeted by the friendliest cashier who’s practically radiating good vibes (seriously, if you’re reading this, cashier-san, you’re a legend). We order, and it’s like, BOOM—sushi arrives faster than I can blink. And not just any sushi—actual works of art. Tasted like it was hand-delivered from a magical sushi kingdom. Like, who let airport sushi be this good? Wild.
Prices? Super reasonable. I swear, they could’ve charged double for this, and I would’ve still handed over my yen with a smile. All I’m saying is, if I could take that cashier and a pack of sushi home as souvenirs, I would’ve. Read moreWe reached this stall on weekdays at about 9pm. This stall was inside the departure hall of haneda airport terminal 3. We ordered one set of sashimi with rice at 1800 yen per serving. Serving within 10 minutes upon ordering.
Taste wise, it was slightly above average. Sashimi was fresh, and rice was cooked well. We were surprised that we could find sashimi at this price inside the airport departure hall. It was because in our perception, food price inside the airport departure hall would be 30% more than the usual price.
When we scanned around this area, all the food stalls here were reasonable in the...
Read moreGreat for a connecting flight but nothing comparable to what you can get for the price and quality in Japan.
With that said, it’s airport sushi that’s probably better than what you can get outside of Asia.
The selection was decent and staff were patient with the ordering - pointing at menu. Pairing sushi with an ice cold Asahi in a mug is hard to beat.
Have had better and cheaper in Japan but for airport food this gets the job done! Especially if you’re in transit.
YMMV depending on the sushi chef. Saw some other patron’s plates which were better presented than others. Knocking a star off for the...
