🌿⚡ A Timeless Fusion of Old & New Culture 🎨🏯

The perfect blend of past and present—where history meets modernity! 🏛️✨

Visited the Tokyo National Museum to admire a high-resolution facsimile of the legendary “Wind God and Thunder God Screens” (Fūjin Raijin-zu Byōbu). 🌪️⛈️ Originally an Important Cultural Property, the artwork is a stunning representation of nature’s overwhelming power, depicted through these two dynamic deities.

👀 Key Highlights: 📌 The Wind God (green) bursts onto the right screen, whipping up powerful gusts. 📌 The Thunder God (white) stands firm, ready to counterbalance the storm. 📌 The blurred ink rain clouds create depth, making the two gods almost come alive!

While the original piece is not currently on display, this exquisite facsimile allows us to appreciate the artistic genius behind it. 🖌️🎭

The Tokyo National Museum is a treasure trove of Japanese art and culture, showcasing everything from stunning folding screens to intricately designed samurai armor and seasonal kimonos. With over 3,000 artifacts displayed across five architecturally stunning buildings, it’s a must-visit spot for anyone fascinated by history and art.

🌳 After the museum, don’t forget to take a peaceful stroll through the Museum Garden, where you’ll find traditional teahouses and lush greenery. 🍵🌿

📍 Tokyo National Museum, Ueno 📅 Exhibits change frequently, so every visit offers something new!

Such a calm spot—perfect way to kill time before a flight ✈️ View was awesome, especially around sunset—planes landing with Mount Fuji in the back Open-air deck so you get real sounds of the runway, not through glass Benches to sit, take photos, or just vibe and watch the planes Felt peaceful, not super crowded even though the terminal was busy Cool for aviation nerds or just anyone who likes watching planes take off Easy to access from the food court area—grab a snack and chill up here Stayed way longer than I expected, honestly relaxing Nice way to wind down your trip before heading out If you’ve got time at Haneda T3, don’t skip...

Great airport… very large! Had to use the moving walkway to get from the plane to immigration/customs. On my way back home I was lucky to have a ticket that allowed me to get into the first class lounge… very nice. I usually travel economy so this was a real treat. Observation deck was really nice. Very efficient airport and not too busy when I traveled. World class designer shops inside. Also it...
