I visited this lounge twice: once on my way to Bali and once on my way back from Singapore.

My first stop was registering for the Shower spa. fortunately I got there early enough to register without much wait and I was able to have a small snack prior to getting the text message to come shower. Their shower spa is the best I've ever seen. A multifunction toilet bidet, climate controlled room, all the basic amenities you'll need including hand towel, towel, razor, shaving cream, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, etc. The shower is gorgeous, neat and powerful rainfall showerhead helps you get clean fast. They give you skin oil, liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. They definitely one upped the Emirates shower-spa here.

After a thorough dump and follow-up shower I made my way to the main lounge. UNFORTUNATELY this is a bit disappointing. There is almost no privacy. From front to back, you can see everyone. No private or quiet places to SLEEP. There are plenty of cushy chairs with usb/ 110v charge points, but you can't stretch out on your side and actually sleep. I laid back in a chair and just snored for an hour for every passerby to see. This is an aspect of the Emirates shower-spa that is superior. I'm taking away a WHOLE STAR for that.

You absolutely will want to use your own AC adapter because the USB points are underpowered 5W rather than the 15W - 20W smartphones typically need to rapid charge.

The food is a mixed bag. I honestly am not crazy about Japanese food. I prefer Chinese food. The stand out here was the fried chicken dumplings with french fries for me. Otherwise, they had a chicken curry with an automatic rice dispenser and a pot of chicken curry with far more potatoes than chicken. It's a good meal though so I won't knock it.

There's a chef making wok noodle dishes and a ramen chef taking orders. But this is Japan...WHERE IS THE SUSHI? They don't even have the California rolls or maki. They have vinegar rice pockets and red bean pockets but I didn't want them. The curry and fried chicken/fries is just enough to get me from snatching another star.

The DRINK layout is a bit annoying. Softdrink machines serving soda in small glasses with larger glasses reserved for beer dispensers. Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Ginger ale or Orange juice. Not many choices there, but the main choices are passable. They do have a coffee/ cappuccino maker and of course there's optional tea. As far as alcohol: wine, champagne and sake choices - pretty much mirroring what you find in business class on the aircraft.

Service can be spotty. The workers are watching everyone and everything you do. Sometimes they are quick to remove used plates, sometimes they aren't. Sometimes they are quick to tell you not to talk on the phone/make too much noise, and sometimes they aren't. They are humble and respectful, but they can be annoying.

OVERALL, if you fly business class, the shower is a must after the long haul flights and the...

Hopefully this can help clear up any questions people have about covid, lounge access, etc as of August 14th 2022. The ANA lounge AND suite lounge are open. The suite lounge is for the first class passengers. The regular ANA lounge is immediately next to it at Gate 110 in terminal 3. You go up the escalator and you're there. If your boarding pass (status members, gold/platinum, etc or business class) says "lounge access" at the bottom, you're permitted entry. If not, you can purchase (unless totally packed) an entry with normal economy class for 6,000 JPY (around 50 US dollars).

Once that's done, immediately to the left of the reception desk when you walk in is a shower room reservation kiosk. Just enter your number (asks for a country code first) and you will receive a text when your turn to shower comes up. Don't lose your receipt either, they ask for it to give you the shower key.

The showers, good lord they're amazing. The water is hot, there's soaps and shampoos, plenty of towels, your own private bathroom, toothbrush with toothpaste in a disposable kit and everything else you need. The only thing they didn't seem to have was a tiny deodorant in case you have a long flight ahead of you. Shower time says "limited to 20 minutes" but unless it's super crowded, you can probably make it 30. Just don't be that person who takes all day if it is crowded. I believe there are 7 or 8 shower rooms available.

Unlimited food, coffee, soft drinks and alcohol are available buffet style. There's also a noodle window where you can get some of that if you want. Lots of seating available which can be empty or crowded depending on people coming and going. There's always a few people spread out sleeping on some of the lounge chairs and booths since long layovers are a thing here.

Reception, food prep people, cleaners are all amazing and kind. Such a difference from being in the US. I wish I could move to this lounge and just live here to be honest. All they need is a gym and a garden area and I'd never leave.

Hopefully this clears up any confusion people have about the lounge. If you're like me and trying to figure out what's open and how you get in, this is the newest info as of August 14th 2022. If people rate this lower than 4/5 stars for any reason, I'd be extremely suspect about their motives. If ANA is reading this for any reason, please give everyone who works at this lounge a bonus for being amazing and kind and for the amazing facilities.

Signed, an American who is...

February 2025

All the feedback below still applies but now they have a much worse system for showers vs the old kiosk adjacent to the reception desk.

Guests must create an account on a third-party website just to have the ability to book a shower. The waits are still long (over 90 minutes for the first available shower booking when I visited).

And even for regular users for whom one-time 5 mins. setup of an account for showers at all HND ana lounge showers (terminal 2 andn3) is not such a heavy burden, the implementation of the website is exceedingly poor. It seems as if they did no user testing at all. Doesn't filter showers well by terminal (so you'll see all 21 showers for both terminals regardless of your departure terminal) through a search let alone through knowing from your flight number from which terminal you depart (why force account creation when you can't do that??). Doesn't automatically assign shower by availability and time desired by user. Why does the user need to see all the showers even at a single lounge? They only need to see to which shower, in which terminal, at which time they've been assigned. Wasted staff time further when user can't figure out website. So...not good.

Dropping lounge down to 2.5*, rounding down.

October 2024

While generally I like haneda more than narita due to closer proximity to city centre, the ana lounges at NRT are still much better for me. Why?

Mostly, the right size/number of capacity for volume of passengers who have access. ANA has added significant capacity on international routes through HND over the last 6 or so years without similarly scaling lounge capacity at HND.

Shower cue is rarely more than 60 minutes at NRT ana lounges but invariably is at HND. The single food service area at HND T3 just gets too overwhelmed with customers most times of day.

Other than that, offerings are quite similar and ok. Lacking in protein usually, but makes up for it a bit with made-to-order noodle bar which is a staple for ana.

60-120 min waits for shower alone make this...

The ANA Lounge in Haneda Airport's Terminal 3 is an exceptional space for travelers, offering a comfortable and well-designed environment. The lounge features plenty of seating, ensuring you can find a spot to relax, and the large windows provide a stunning view of the airplane gates, adding to the overall experience. One of the highlights of the lounge is the food selection, particularly the made-to-order noodles. By simply scanning the QR code on your table, you can choose from a variety of noodle dishes, all of which are delicious. The Japanese curry is another standout, though it doesn't quite match the quality of the one served at Narita Airport. In addition to the food, the lounge offers a selection of Japanese beers. You'll find one type available in the main dining area and two other brands at the back of the lounge, catering to different tastes. However, due to the lounge's popularity, the food trays can empty quickly. Fortunately, the staff are efficient and replenish the food promptly, ensuring that guests can enjoy their meals without too much delay. Overall, the ANA Lounge at Haneda Terminal 3 is a top-tier lounge that enhances the travel experience with its excellent amenities, despite the occasional rush for food.

I think this lounge is great but lacked a very important need of some travelers and that is an area for quiet, comfortable rest. The transit hotel had no vacancies and the capsule hotel was located outside of security so post COVID the annoyances of filling out paperwork would’ve eaten up a lot of my six hour layover. So I had to settle for this lounge. The most comfortable seating area are the one person “couches” located in the rear. They are not comfortable enough for a light doze though. And while in Japan, the Japanese are very respectful of others but many Europeans were loudly talking away so a dedicated area with more comfortable lounge chairs and specified quiet zone would be nice. Other than that, the lounge is extremely functional. All other types of seating are available from work stations to dining seating. Shower reservations are easy to make but during peak hours the wait was 2-3 hours. Food was the very reliable Japanese lounge fare—made to order noodle bar, beef curry, finger sandwiches, some rolls etc. Smoking lounge was small but clean. It got packed during the middle part of my six hour wait so during peak hours space may be an issue.
