I had a wonderful experience at Wasachi! Nestled in the quaint residential area of Roppongi, this café exudes coziness. The owners, who speak English fluently, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had a delightful conversation with them about the upcoming sakura season and the must-visit spots in Roppongi.

What stood out was their exceptional service. When we expressed interest in capturing the matcha preparation process, the owner went above and beyond. They brought the entire set to our table, allowing us to get a closer look and capture stunning videos and pictures. Moreover, the owner patiently explained the key indicators of premium quality matcha, adding depth to our experience.

As someone who's not the biggest fan of matcha, I was pleasantly surprised by their matcha latte. It was remarkably creamy and devoid of any bitterness. The vibrant green color and tiny air bubbles were indicative of its high quality. This experience truly changed my perspective on matcha.

I highly recommend visiting Cafe Wasachi to support this new matcha haven. It's a gem worth discovering...

A true hidden gem in what looks like a residential street in Roppongi. There are other businesses around though. Please don’t come here unless you have time and are not in a rush, because the owner is a one man show and takes care in making each drink one-by-one. There is not a lot of seating, you almost feel like you’re coming into someone’s home to hang out for a little while. If the seats are all taken, you will be given the option to takeaway, but you’ll have to wait your turn and by then a seat will likely open up like it did for us! The coconut matcha latte was incredible. We didn’t get to try the matcha cookies this time because they were sadly sold out, but I hear they’re homemade by the owner. If we get a chance to visit Tokyo again I will be sure to come here early and hopefully score a cookie next time!

Thank you to the owner for being so sweet and for your hospitality. You can tell he genuinely enjoys his craft and puts joy and passion in each drink that he makes. Coming here is more than just getting your matcha fix, it’s an...

Hello, I visited your place this afternoon based on numerous recommendations. I can mention the excellent staff, beautiful interior, but unfortunately there was some kind of problem with the matches. I ordered a matcha Latte with coconut milk and Barista immediately asked if they could mix coconut milk with oatmeal, I agreed. And at first everything was fine, but when I started to finish the drink, I found a bunch of lumps of coconut milk, maybe it was sour, maybe something else happened to it, I do not know, but it was impossible to drink, I am very sorry that you happened because the matcha is really very tasty, but I could not finish the drink. because there were a lot of lumps at the bottom. Maybe I was unlucky, but if you come to this place, it's better to just take matcha with oat or normal milk because there are some problems with...

The owner (who also prepares all the orders by themself!) really needs to give themself a pat on the back and treat themself to all the best things life has to offer for thinking of combining coconut milk with matcha 😍 First, the interior of the cafe is absolutely beautiful! I really couldn't help but take a lot of photos of the inside because I was so in love with the furniture. Second, the coconut matcha latte was sooooooo good 😭 I have no words tbh, just try it for yourselves—it's that good! The coconut does make the consistency of the drink a little thick but that isn't a bad thing in fact I really liked it 😋 Lastly, the owner was really friendly and welcoming 🥰 I will 100% be back! 😎

This hidden suburban gem is an absolute must try when in Tokyo if you love all things matcha. I absolutely adore this place to the point that I'm willing to say it was probably the best matcha latte I had during my time in Japan. From the drinks to the freshly baked cookies, you could tell the quality of matcha used was really up there. And if I had the luggage space to take the entire batch of cookies home with me I totally would! Takuma if you are reading this - thank you for creating the most beautiful and welcoming space that any matcha lover could have ever asked for. Until next time 👋
