We stopped by for a quick bite but the simple menu is so misleading. There were only 2 set lunch choices: toast with margherita and chicken curry with toast. Such a lovely place to eat by the river on this quiet side of Uji! The chicken curry was so delicious, deeply flavored. The yuzu dressing over the salad was really good and of course the desserts - parfait and yuzu mochi - tasted wonderful.

Wonderful cafe! Beautiful river view seating, jazz playing in background, very friendly staff, and delicious food! There were 3 lunch choices on my visit: curry and rice (tasty with quite a kick), chilled summer tomato pasta with garlic toast -yum!, and a fancy pizza toast (they called it a margarita tartine).
