Everyone can use ChartGPT like me to translate and then use Google Maps to communicate with the restaurant owner, Mr. Murahata, to make reservations for seats and dishes. The daily menu varies depending on the day's circumstances. Mr. Murahata, the owner, is very patient, professional, and sociable. We made an advanced reservation for local specialty dishes from Kishu. Although we don't speak Japanese, he used a translator to explain the origin of each dish in English. Almost all the ingredients were freshly sourced that day, offering delicate textures and wonderful flavors. Absolute delicious meal & one of the best we’ve had in Japan during our 2 week stay! The pork (tonkatsu) is the speciality but everything was amazing. A special mention to the assorted sashimi as well.

For English speaking travellers, the menu is in Japanese as it is printed daily. But the servers & chefs make a huge effort to communicate with you via a translator app.

We sat at the counter where the chef consistently communicated & explained the food to us.
