BETELNUT THAI VIETNAMESE DIMSUM — Restaurant in Yokohama

This place is unresponsive and rude. They made us and another older woman wait for 25 minutes while there were empty seats. Then they came over and ask to sit us at the bar while those seats were open from the very beginning. Why didn’t they seat us earlier? Why would a coup,e want to sit at the bar not facing each other on uncomfortable bar stools? When asked about the empty seats in the restaurant they said no you have to have a reservation. Why didn’t they tell us from the beginning instead of wasting our time? We went somewhere else. This area in general isn’t good. Too crowded and it’s just a money pit. They hid the lunch special menu as well when we were waiting turned the sign around. There is a Mexican place near to it but it’s over priced even longer wait and they charge you a reservation fee per person if you just walk in but don’t tell you. Asian food restaurant. As the name suggests, they serve mainly Thai and Vietnamese but it seems like their dishes are Japanese fork, e.g. not so spicy as in Thai. So I can recommend this place to almost everybody including kids. Their range of cocktail and Asian dishes are those that make you feel you are in an Asian resort. I think this is a good place to visit with your date. Visited again, and I confirmed their foods are good Japanese fork of Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. It wasn’t a busy day. My friend and I went there for an early dinner. We had a lot of stuff with us like bags and shopping bags. We were greeted by a male staff not so nicely and took us on a table in the middle. So we asked if we could take the corner side because we have a lot of stuff with us but we were dismissed right away without judging our situation and request. Mind you, it’s just my friend and I.
