Tucked away in a quiet, unassuming neighborhood, this restaurant was a hidden gem. I came for lunch with friends, and arriving just before the 11:30 opening, we were greeted by a line—a good sign. The interior was thoughtfully designed, creating a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel at ease right away.

The menu, handwritten and only in Japanese, added to the charm, though it was a bit challenging to decipher. Thankfully, the waiter gave a clear explanation of the daily offerings to all guests. The menu was only in Japanese, so it could be a challenge for those who don’t speak the language. I opted for the fish curry, which was the base of the day, alongside a mushroom curry. The presentation was stunning—vibrant colors with yellow rice cutting across the plate, chickpeas, and meat adding layers of texture. The flavors were rich and complex, especially as you mixed the ingredients to alter the taste of the curry, making each bite different and delightful.

A standout feature is that the restaurant received the prestigious Tabelog Hyakumeiten Award in 2024, marking it as one of the top-rated restaurants in the area. The only downside was the cash-only policy, which felt a little inconvenient. But overall, this place has earned a spot on my list of must-visit restaurants, and I’ll certainly recommend it to others.

こちらは、2018年にオープンした福富町の 超人気スパイスカレー店「丸祇羅」です☝️

ちなみにそれより以前は、馬車道寄りの 店舗で間借り営業をされていたらしいです！

最近では、メディアでカレー特集があれば その名を見ない日はないほどの超超超人気店。

絶対に並ぶよね、うーん、という感じで かなりご無沙汰だったのですが、久しぶりに 食べたくなり、旦那さんと一緒に久々訪問😍

Instaで食数の確保的な意味での予約ができるので 前日に予約したけれど、オープン10分前に到着！

そしたら先客は2組だけで、オープンと同時に スルッと入店できました、やっぴー✌️

The food tasted good, and the presentation was beautiful. However, most of it was stone cold when it reached us, the basmati rice wasn't prepared well and the keema was way too salty. Service kinda sucks, we were made to wait in a very hot dirty stair well (fire escaped obscured by garbage) , even though the restaurant had lots of free space. Little suggestion, make an inside waiting area with your large space by the entrance. As for the atmosphere it was trying to be ethno-fashionable, but it kind of failed and lacked any charm.
