I always liked this place but tonight I was terribly disappointed. I arrived at about 7.15 pm with a friend. There were 3 female staff members talking away chit chatting. My friend ordered her dessert first. I waited to order. As I walked up to order at about 7.40, they told me they were closed. Last order was at 7.30. I asked how come we weren't informed?. The staff said there is a sign outside the shop. There are so many signs outside the shop in multiple languages and written in small fonts. Come on, who is going to take time to read. The entire shop had only 3 customers. There were 3 staff members who had time to chit chat but didn't have the time or consideration to remind customers that last order was at 7.30. They could have even told us when they were taking our orders. They were quick to say sorry but then quickly went about trying to close the shop. I guess Meet Fresh Japan is very different from Meet Fresh Taiwan. If you visit this place, make sure to take some time to stand outside the shop to read all the fine prints. They expect you to read all the information as they don't have the time...
Read moreI'm from Taiwan and was originally very excited to visit this dessert shop. These types of dessert are usually very cheap in Taiwan, so very expensive here in Yokohama but it is to be expected. I visited with my wife and daughter.
On arrival, no staff welcomed us - they definitely saw us enter, but never came over. We had no idea what to do, then we saw the self order and pay machine so we went through the 'long' menu, by ourselves, it took some time because we were unfamiliar. Still no staff even looked at us to help. We found our own seating afterward. Then a few minutes later, another pair of customers came in (just a regular looking middle aged couple) and they received the full welcome treatment - with the staff showing them the menu etc.
Very disrespectful customer service. We will...

It's your standard Meetfresh, but the hype hasn't caught on here "yet" so the wait is short and there's always seating areas in the store. A few minutes walk from the Motomachi Chukagai station. It's a very short walk from the Yamashita Park so you can walk off the extra calories with a view.
Want pearl tea? Don't wait for an hour for Gong Cha at the Yokohama station, just take one train...
