Yamashita Park is such a lovely spot to relax and take in the beauty of Yokohama’s waterfront! I visited recently, and it was the perfect place to unwind after exploring the city. The view of the bay, with ships and the iconic Marine Tower in the background, was absolutely stunning.

The park is spacious, clean, and has a peaceful vibe. I enjoyed strolling along the pathways lined with seasonal flowers and greenery. The statues and fountains scattered around the park add a nice touch, especially the iconic “Girl with the Red Shoes” statue.

One of the highlights was sitting on a bench, enjoying the sea breeze while watching the ferries and boats go by—it’s so calming! There are also plenty of nearby cafes and food stands, so grabbing a snack and making it a picnic is easy.

It’s a must-visit if you’re in Yokohama, whether you’re on a date, with friends, or just enjoying some time to yourself. I’m already looking forward to...

Great place to go for a walk ,picnic or just sit and take in the great view of yokohama harbour and hikawa maru. The park is clean and beautiful flowers as well as plants are planted at different season all times. There's a Lawson where you can get a drink or snacks. There are two public tiolet,one situated near to Lawson and another at the end of park.

Enjoy street performance outside Lawson during weekends and on fine day in the weekdays. Roses are in abundance in autumn and winter seasons.

At the end of the park,there's a big beautiful rose garden with different type of roses. Stop and smell the roses.

In the evening, there are benches along the water side to see the sunset and the magnificent skyline.

One can catch a ride along the yokohama sea on a cruise ship, seabeam, that operates to and froYokohama,redbrick,Yamashita park.

Chinatown is just a walk away...
