Piacere — Restaurant in Yokosuka

Piacere is a delightful taste of Italy tucked into an alley near Yokosuka’s Blue Street. It’s a quaint place with the first floor mostly occupied by the kitchen and counter dining. However, there are quite a few tables upstairs.

We’ve dined here quite a few times and the quality of their dishes is always top notch. This last visit, we went for a Sunday lunch and I was quite pleased to see the grand menu offered. There was so much to choose from… a wide array of appetizers, plenty of pizzas, pastas and main dishes… While I’ve enjoyed everything ordered, the calamari and the lasagna are my current favorite! So delicious!!!

The wine menu is decent and reasonably priced. Service is excellent.

While driving through Chuo area at 1:30 pm we saw bento lunches outside the Torinosu restaurant building. Upon approaching it I found that they were not Torinosu bentos but Piacere’s, and they even had margarita pizza! Bento and freshly baked pizza (already boxed and ready to go) were both 600; we got one of each. Very satisfying. Each came with a hot can of green tea, how nice. Apparently they have a variety of 600 yen bentos (fried chicken with green onion sauce, tomato chicken, roast chicken with herbs, ginger pork, etc) and a full “take out menu” of a variety of pizzas and pastas (1,000 yen and up) as well as side dishes. This is the best pizza place in Yokosuka!!!! My favorite!!! You can have Napoli pizza!! Not American pizza!! Great!!! All menu is great!! You will love all the places here!! All great!!! They make the pizza in the brick oven in the kitchen. So you can enjoy fresh prepared great pizza on your table!!! It’s a little bit tiny place but you can choose tables or counter seats in ground floor or 2nd floor. There are wine cellar. So you can order good wines from various tastes.
