You can also enjoy talking with the cheerful female owner if you can speak enough Japanese. The cafe’s most popular sweet is its famous Apple Cake which is made with delicious Jonathan Apples that are only available for about two months out of the year. Although I have visited her cafe over 100 times, I have only had the chance to try this speciality cake only third times because of its limited time in the winter. I recommend that customers check the opening time before visiting because opening may vary from day to day. 女性オーナーの軽快なトーク（？）と手作りスイーツが売りのお店。 湯河原にしては安くない価格設定ですが、いつも大混雑なのは味が確かな証しでしょうか。 メニューは日替わり、行ってみてのお楽しみってところですが、 シフォンケーキ、プリン、マカロンなどは定番の人気商品で、 週末は午前中に売切れてしまいます。 個人的なお薦めは、100回以上お邪魔した中でたった3回だけお目にかかったアップルケーキ。 今日はあるかな～、と思って行ってみて、あっやっぱりないんだ、的な肩すかし感も、 ある意味、この店の楽しみ方かもしれません。 （もちろん事前に電話で確認もできるし、場合によっては予約も受けてもらえます）

湯河原に住んでる姉とうちの子供達と「初めての所で飲みたいね。」とネット検索で見つけました。わからずに入った途端「小さなお子様は遠慮してもらってます。」と申し訳ありませんの言葉も無く無表情のまま言われました。高学年の2人が口を揃えて「小さい子供じゃないよね。」と言ってました。ソフトドリンクが無くて珈琲だけなのでという断り方もあると思います。子供禁止でもそれはownerのポリシーで理解出来ます。でしたら「解るように外に書いておいてよ。」と私は口...
