I recently had the pleasure of dining at Joz Hind, and I must say it is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Weibdeh. The restaurant's prime location boasts a beautiful outdoor seating area that offers a delightful ambiance for a memorable dining experience.

What sets Joz Hind apart from other establishments is their unique daily menu crafted from the freshest ingredients. Lucca, the talented chef and owner, brings an infectious positivity to the restaurant, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I was amazed by Lucca's dedication as he hand-picked the ingredients daily, ensuring the utmost freshness and quality in every dish. The result is a beautiful, organic, and healthy menu that caters to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences.

One thing to note is that Joz Hind operates from 12 to 5, or until they sell out, which they often do. So, it's wise to plan ahead and either arrive early or pre-order to secure a spot at this delightful establishment. Extremely disappointing experience. We had reserved a table for two for Iftar during Ramadan. When we arrived, we sat at one of the many empty tables inside—only to be told by a waiter that those tables were “reserved,” even though there were no signs or indications. Despite confirming our reservation earlier, we were told the only option was to sit outside in the cold, and that they could “offer us a blanket.”

We tried to explain that we had already booked and confirmed, but it was clear they prioritized other incoming guests over the people already seated in the restaurant. The situation escalated, and unbelievably, they ended up asking us to leave right at Iftar time.

We didn’t even get to try the food, so I can’t comment on that. But after this treatment, I definitely won’t be coming back—and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. To make matters worse, they didn’t offer any kind of apology, compensation, or follow-up gesture—even after we contacted them later on WhatsApp to express how upset we were.

I’ve gotten the chance to try Joz Hind today, and my experience was an absolute delight! They offered 3 main dishes for the day, including a vegetarian option, but I leaned towards the shrimp and rice bowl cooked with bell peppers and tomato sauce, and it hit every mark possible. The quality was top tier and it truly felt like a home-cooked meal you’ve been dying to have, and the cucumber salad and beetroot juice were also really awesome additions. The service is honestly better than most (if not all) of the restaurants I’ve tried, and their seating areas are very peaceful and serene despite how small it is, but it does add to the charm of the restaurant in my opinion.
