I ordered some food from pounder through Talabat: chicken tenders, chicken bites, French fries, and sweet potatoes fries. On Talabat, it initially said the order would be delivered within 30 minutes. It took a full hour to reach me because it was delayed at the restaurant. Now for the food. When it got there, it was cold. I don’t know which item was the worst to be honest. The tenders were very very oily, dripping on the plate. The chicken bites tasted awful. While the sweet potatoes fries were fine (not much of a taste), the French fries were terribly thin, oily, salty. I couldn’t finish the food, so I threw most of it to the cats in the neighborhood. That was the first time for me to try this place. Not ordering from there again for sure. There are TONS of places in Amman that serve food good for human consumption, unlike pounder. Read moreAs a fan of Chef Alee, I was eagerly anticipating my visit to Pounder by Alee Restaurant. However, my experience was a mixture of highs and lows.
Firstly, the chicken tender dish lived up to its reputation, delivering a satisfying flavor and texture. However, my enthusiasm took a hit with the mushroom burger. Despite my anticipation, I found myself overwhelmed by an unexpected sweetness in the sandwich, which detracted from my enjoyment.
On a brighter note, the chicken box redeemed the meal, meeting my expectations with its flavorful presentation. Additionally, the fries were a standout, offering a perfect balance of crispiness and seasoning.
Overall, while Pounder by Alee Restaurant showcased moments of culinary excellence, there were also instances where expectations fell short. Despite this, I remain a loyal admirer of Chef Alee’s talent and look forward to revisiting in the hope of discovering more of his...
