The Shoreditch — Restaurant in Astana

I ordered a burger with fries and a beer. The beer came quickly, but the food took quite a while. I went for their “special” burger with fries topped with cheese and Parmesan sauce.

Unfortunately, the portion size was very small—especially the fries. The burger itself was also small and poorly assembled, with an overcooked, bland patty. To make things worse, the fries weren’t included with the burger and had to be ordered separately, which made the already expensive meal feel like even worse value—especially by Kazakhstan standards.

The fries were undercooked and not good at all. The cheese sauce was mediocre, and the Parmesan sauce was downright awful.

Service was quite slow, and it took a while just to place my order after being seated. The menu was available in English, which helped, though the staff spoke very little English—not a huge issue, but worth noting.

Looking back, I should’ve trusted my gut and chosen another place. The menu was a red flag from the start—offering a confusing mix of different cuisines, which usually isn’t a good sign.

Food and service are awful despite its great design, 2 of the three dishes that we ordered off the menu were out of stock. After finding other things to order and waiting a fair time I received the wrong meal! After calling the waiter and telling him, he said sorry it was his mistake and offered to take it back, but I just ate was I was served... and it was, in a word, bland! We ordered nachos with our beer. They were just a packet of knockoff Doritos accompanied by little bowls of cheese from a tube and tomato sauce... AWFUL. Even if the chef googled Nachos he would have a better idea of what to serve. I have not even mentioned the price which is exorbitant! The beer is good... but other places have beer too. Stay away from this spot at...

I had an incredible experience at Shoreditch in Astana! The service was top-notch, thanks to Karen and Rustem, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality truly stood out.

The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef for such a delightful culinary experience!

Special thanks to Auran for preparing an outstanding hookah. It was smooth, flavorful, and added the perfect finishing touch to an already amazing evening.
