Not all of the lifts in the hotel serve the top floor, and ensuring the right one actually arrives can be a challenge. Also make sure you don’t attempt to arrive before the 6pm opening time, since the top floor button in the lifts won’t actually work! Upon arrival there’s a reception desk to welcome and the expansive floor to ceiling window is impressive. The views over the city are indeed good but it’s a shame there is only a couple of seats at the window, and the majority of the restaurant can’t make the most of the selling point.

On a Saturday evening the venue had some good music playing and despite being quiet had a good atmosphere. The Sunday night I visited was much busier but oddly had no music, but still was a nice place to relax. The staff can all speak good English and were attentive throughout the stays.

Unfortunately the drinks on offer during my visits were limited due to the draught options not being available. Fortunately the local bottled beer option was nice though and was still reasonably priced. The food menu offers a range of steaks and also tapas dishes, with some sharing platters of pre-selected dishes. The seafood option of this was brilliant - a really good size with tasty dishes, all presented well and also served in good time. I also ordered the steak and can advise that it’s certainly cooked on the rare side, so bear that in mind if you prefer things well done. However it was really tasty and a decent portion size with the sides.

The main dining area is towards the rear of the bar away from the main window. It’s a comfortable spot and decorated nicely, with spacious tables. There’s certainly no reason to feel cramped and the staff don’t rush so it’s a relaxing dining experience.

Overall it’s a decent bar and restaurant, with great service. Certainly more could be made of the exclusive view and it’s not a bar if you’re looking for a more party vibe. But if you do get one of the limited seats at the window, I’d return for the view alone and it was an...
