Let me tell you, Mwenda's is a vibe. It is in a hidden place but the moment you get inside, there is a welcoming atmosphere. Their cocktails are amazing and they are from 400-500. For the ladies, cosmopolitan is the best sweet but has a lot of alcohol. Also, long island is a mixture of every type of alcohol and strong. For one type of alcohol ask for a dress tequila. It won't make you drunk that fast but with time you will feel the effect after two cocktails. The tequila shots cost 150 for Camino and the rest 200 but it is always best to go and order the drinks yourself. Music is not that loud but on Fridays, it is always full and closes late. It's a chill place to relax after work with colleagues. The location is favorable, as it is in the heart of Nairobi. The ambience and views are nothing to write home about. It would also be a more enjoyable experience if you go with colleagues or friends rather than alone. The deejay was great, playing a mixture of old school music and new music, not a lot of dancing space but if the vibe really comes there is some space to dance. I unfortunately found a hair in my shot. It was quite unfortunate as this was my first time coming to this place after hearing about it for years. I also brought three friends with me from Nigeria, Italy and Colombia to see the place because i had heard good things. The service was otherwise good from the staff and so was the atmosphere so I want to be fair about my review - everything was quite good up until we ordered shots. My friends did not have any issues luckily, just me.
