Buhara Assorti — Restaurant in Bishkek City

We arrived in Bishkek late in the noon and headed for our late lunch. Our guide took us here to Buhkara Assorti restaurant, that was strange to me, a person who is from Uzbekistan ) Anyway, it turned out that it is a chain of restaurants in the city. We made and order and it took us some time to have it and one of our guest just cancelled the order due to the long time cooking. And the restaurant was not busy, it was perhaps 10% booked. I personally ordered lagman as since the morning I wanted to have as Bishkek is a great place for Uighur cuisine. However, I was disappointed with it. It was cold, was not tasty, the meat they used was beef, but uighurs use lamb usually. We have another day here, and I am afraid I will not have a chance to have lagman again, what a pity…. The interior is beautiful, design is quite impressive. We all liked it after a long drive from Kazakh border. The total I paid for lagman, lemonade and salad 10usd, quite cheap I would say. We did not make any reservation, just walked in on 11/9/25. They led us to take seats at the Patio. Weather is nice and cool, thus we didn’t mind dining within its open air

The Restaurant is quite busy, the staff barely able to speak in Engish but they managed to take our order. Food choices are Central Asian Cuisine.

The beverages came fast , but the food is taking ages to be served ! Its not at all easy call for an waiter for services. None seems to be paying attention. Our food order did not come complete. In the end , they either forgot or could have swnd oir last 2 orders to other table!!

Finally ,upon checking our Bill, they charged us for 2 mains dishes that was not served. Upon asking, the manager finally had to refund us in cash for their mistakes.

I don't know why people have been given this restaurant a low rate. We had a family dinner there two weeks ago and it was a perfect dining. Receptionist seemed very friendly, atmosphere in the hall was not so good because of the music. About the meals I can say that samsy set is a cornerstone of its kitchen and I would recommend you to order exactly that. Salads were okay, nothing extraordinary.
