Chingiz Aitmatov Park, widely recognized as Oak Park, is a serene oasis in Bishkek, offering visitors a lush canopy of oak trees. Established in 1890, the park is not only a testament to the city's history but also a living art exhibit. But Oak Park isn't just a haven for nature enthusiasts; it's a cultural hub that artfully blends natural beauty with artistic expression. The park is adorned with over 90 unique sculptures, each with its own story, brought from various corners of the former Soviet Union. These sculptures, a legacy of the 1984 All-Union Sculptors Symposium, provide a fascinating glimpse into the region's artistic diversity. The most striking aspect of Oak Park is its ability to transform with the seasons. The shifting hues of the leaves, from vibrant green to fiery autumnal colors. In summary, Oak Park is more than just a park; it's a living, breathing piece of Bishkek's history and culture.

Oak Park is a beautiful green space in the heart of Bishkek, offering a refreshing escape from the busy city. While the park could benefit from better maintenance and improvements for tourism, nature itself makes the place truly charming. The tall oak trees, sculptures, and open paths create a peaceful atmosphere perfect for walking, relaxing, or simply enjoying the outdoors. It’s a spot that shows the city’s natural beauty and is worth a visit.

My favourite park in the town. Perfect location. Itt's pretty quite despite its location in the citycenter. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around. The brenches are clean and you always can find the empty one ) you can enjoy cool evenings during the hot summers. And the main square is in front of it. There is a cinema nearby. And you can easily continue your long walkings to Dzerjinka boulevard.
