This place is really nice. The indoor area is small, but nicely decorated. The staff were good, and nice, but not exceptional (so only average stars 😀) The food is very good. But the one big downside is the price. A peanut butter milkshake is $5US ++ something. That's outrageous! Ok Pavithra butter may be imported, but it's a drink, with 3 or 4 ingredients. I had the Lao sausage (plate). The picture had grilled veggies. I got got a coupler of lettuce leaves and a cucumber sliced up, which I know is the local way. And it was tasty, but $5+++ for a simple lunch like that. Exorbitant. I had shrimp pasta for dinner the same day and it was less than half the price. I like the place. I like the atmosphere. The food is very good. But the price is just unrealistic. I am not a stingy diner, but I just won’t go again because it’s...
Read moreBad customer service. Ordered the peanut butter toast with bananas. I asked if it was possible to make one alteration and the server told me it was doable. She alone repeated the order with the alteration back to me and I agreed. She must have forgotten because they brought it to me incorrectly and when I asked for it to be corrected she pretended to be confused after I kept repeating what we had talked over. She spoke English, and I am aware that she is not fluent, but she was completely pretending to not understand that I changed something. It had nothing to do with the language barrier, I wouldn’t be complaining if that were the case. Bad service, and...
Read moreI had half a day in Vientiane and wanted to make the most of it before flying out the next day. I wasted an hour and half at this restaurant because someone (I’m not sure if they were a server or not) took my order but didn’t enter it in the system or tell the rest of the staff. They were very apologetic and the food came out quickly after I brought up the wait. The atmosphere was great, the WiFi fast, and the staff very nice about the situation. I don’t normally write reviews but this really impacted my time in Vientiane. If you’ve got time, the food is worth it and it’s a nice spot to get out of the heat. If you’re pressed for time, I...
