This place has the the confusing fake meat tofu thing going on. They sell tofu which tastes like meat. Which makes no sense as the customer base is vegans who don't want to eat food that tastes like dead animal. Perhaps the argument is that it helps transition non vegans to vegan by substituting tofu that tastes like meat. However in that case the opposite argument would be true leading to vegans giving up veganism and costing them their customer base. I've never understood the argument for tofu that tastes like meat in the shape of meat. It would be like selling meat in the shape of vegetables that taste like vegetables. -1 Star Inappropriate religious item crafting situation going on. -1 Star Further Edit: Gave the place a second chance. Wish I wouldn't of. The food was different than what was ordered, looks like lots of different kinds of dead animal fish balls, beef etc inside, maybe it is all made of tofu but if it smells, looks and tastes like animal then that is not what your vegetarian/vegan client base is looking for. I just paid and left because the cook wanted to argue with me over it. -1 Star. I'm not interested in arguing with you, I'm paying you money. It clearly does not look even remotely close to whats on the menu, you even brought the menu over and we compared it together, you were wrong plain and simple but standard Laos style will never admit it. Always the non Laos is wrong even when they are right. Also didn't even bring the...
Read moreAfter reading so many good reviews of this vegan restaurant we decided to try it, but it was very dissapointing. Noodles with fried "chicken" was juicy but not tasty. The noodle "duck" soup was totally bland, it had no flavour at all, and whatever was in it didnt look good (see pictures). Something that bothered us was the fact that the food came to our tables only 1 minute after we ordered, it is impossible to make any good food in 1 minute, not even instant noodles you can prepare so fast, it was sketchy. The staff didnt speak any english at all so it was very hard to communicate. The prices are in line with other shops but the food is not good so I think this is not good value. Nonetheless we appreciate that they cater to vegans in a city were its hard to find...
Read moreWe had dinner here hoping to have something flavourful after having bad experiences in other veg restaurants around Vientiane. The lady that attended us was not able to speak english, so we tried to communicate with Google translate. We ordered their "Kaoh soi" and noodles with fried chicken. The kaoh soi arrived 47 seconds after we placed the order, which totally surprised us. Well...it wasn't good 🥲 the broth was really clear and tasteless and overall quite disappointing. The noodles were ok, juicy and with some flavor, but both of us would have added some soy sauce to give a twist to our plates, that lacked character. Maybe we chose the wrong dishes. We were impressed at the selection of fake meat they have for...
