Baba Restaurant - Pakistani and Indian Food — Restaurant in Vientiane Capital

Edit: Reduced from 5 star to 2 star in one month after three repeated bad incidents. Food also not good - twice was very very salty. Once, veg Biriyani had no vegetable. Plus bad attitude by son.

Unfortunately, while the dad is very nice and makes you feel good, the son is always complaining something when I go to pick up food. He even told me "its ok" when I told him won't come again given his attitude. The food he makes also seems all about cutting cost.

We had our lunch since this is the closest to our hotel. Service was very slow. It takes them 45 minutes to prepare 1 dish. We order 1 chicken masala with 2 plates of rice and yet it takes so long to prepare. When I asked why is the long wait,the old man said another 4 orders ahead of me. But we didnt see anyone in the restaurant beside us & 2 young men. For 1 chicken masala,2 plates of rice,2 bottle of Coke & 1 ice tea cost us 144,000. Not worth it at all. I dont think we will dine here again. We will go to another restaurant with better...

We loved the Indian foods and drinks. We had butter masala (vegetarian) and chicken byriani with Naan and butter Naan. For drinking we had mango Lassi and soft drinks. The price, the quality and the service was amazing. We loved the vegan and vegetarian options. The staff speaks good English and is very nice. A good option for those who would like to eat non laos food for one day or have more vegetarian options in laos :)
