Big disappointment. Chose this place for our yearly outing with my mom and her friends - classy ladies who just turned 80. Chose Gaspars since it was rated 1rst/30 LT restaurants - also the reason why I did not test it in advance. AMBIANCE- 2/5. Mostly for the horrible accustics - they should invest in noice cancelling stoff on their walls: we could not hear each other at all, but well the noice from a party of 9 on the other side of the room. 1 point for the cute idea of different color cuttlery for each part of the meal. SERVICE: 2/5. We arrived 2 mins earlier and were asked to step outside - in pouring rain - to wait for our table to be ready (classy ladies of 80 I remind you). At the end it turned out that our table WAS ready, they mixed us with the order of 9. Then waiter came - cool young man, very fond of himself. While taking our orders was in a rush, asked why he is rushing, answered, that we are not his only customers (and we hoped). We really felt specialed and valued. Not to mention his clearly signature joke (repeated 4 times) about German Mozel Riesling having a taste of mazout (thats why he was suggesting a portuguese one - it was a very good one, but us, fans of Mosel wines among others, felt awkward and patronised). Same goes for his reaction to our remark about one dish on the menu, which contained Morel mushrooms - when we mentioned they are considered poisonous in some countries, he laughed it off, telling us he has eaten them and is still alive. More of patronising attitude when serving a wine - when we asked to refill the glass of my mum, who was in the bathroom at the moment when our glasses were being filled - we were told that's not the way to do. (From now on classy ladies of 80 have learned something new). FOOD: everything we ate was VERY GOOD. We could choose some different starters, however for the main course the choice was so limited (if you are not into heavy meat eating) that we ended up with ordering same fish dish everyone - OK, I changed mine for the poisonous morel, just for a bit of variety. Dessert - excellent, so was the sweet Sauvignon blanc - suggestion of the waiter, for which I regrett a bit less 20 eur tip I left for the boll of 270 eur for 4 persons. VERDICT: Gadpar's for sure is not Nr1 in Lt  and not the place were you would go for a cosy evening with long-time-no-see friends, in particular if they are...

Exquisite fine dining breakfast experience.

This review is focused on breakfast only. Breakfast at Gaspars sets a very high standard and I see it as a benchmark.

Attention to details and high class service from the very moment you enter the restaurant. Professional and welcoming staff.

The space is quite compact, but the interior design and decor with lots of natural light and pastel colours make it feel spacious and cozy at the same time.

The furniture and the lighting is of top quality, comfortable and translates the spirit of this place which I would define as Modern Orient Express.

Everything and everyone one is always at the optimal place.

The menu is brief, but it captures all the depth and breadth of perfect breakfast. We were a group of four, so we had the chance to taste different dishes.

Every dish has this orient signature to it, would it be a spice, texture or ingredients. Classic continental breakfast comes deconstructed on the plate featuring all the key elements with some editions, including avocado and chanterelles. Toasted bread comes in the form of naan.

Steak breakfast was enhanced with spice and amazing smoked flavour.

I loved the Masala omelette. It was so good. Topped with crab meat, delicate oyster souce and avocado mousse dressing.

Portuguese cinnamon basil tea was a discovery for me.

All dishes are beautifully decorated. I liked a silverware a lot, so stylish.

I highly recommend this place for a special breakfast occasion, just make sure to make a reservation in advance. This place is booked out...

The restaurant was tiny, probably around 10 tables. When you came in, there is only 1 jackets coat right at the door so you have to wait in the cold for everyone else to get their coats sorted before you can enter. We had a reservation, we were there 10 minutes before our reservation and the table were still having guests so we have to wait outside for 15minutes since there is no waiting space inside before we were seated. The Nann was great, probably one of the best I’ve had, but other than that, the food was a bit overpriced since there isn’t much technique going on I must say. For example: the starter recommended was the shrimp with butter and herbs; or the main dish slow cook squid, nothing sophisticated. The chef can use more spices that’s for sure as there wasn’t much flavors in any of the dishes. Plating was ok, straightforward. The most confusing piece was the dessert with black garlic. Everything was good on its own, but when everything combined, it was fusion confusion. The servers aren’t up to par for an upscale restaurant. They are limited in the menu and the wine knowledge. When the food brought out, they didn’t introduce what it was that they just brought out. It’s hard to believe this is the no.1 restaurant in Vilnius as I’ve had better food and services elsewhere. Good to try but no good enough to come back for the price that we paid. There’re definitely other places in town that are...

Restoranas nedidelis, jaukus, stilingas. Interjeras saikingas, neperkrautas, dominuoja šviesūs rusvų spalvų tonai. Šilumos ir jaukumo suteikia mediniai baldai. Tik labai užkliuvo stalų kojos. Visą vakarą taip ir neradau patogios pozicijos savo ilgom kojom gražiai ir patogiai susidėti. Vakarieniauti atėjome dviese iš anksto rezervavę stalą ir pasirinkę mėgautis degustaciniu meniu. Kadangi nusprendėme šį kartą nevartoti alkoholinių gėrimų, pasirinkome alternatyvių nealkoholinių gėrimų derinimą. Mane labai nudžiugino galimybė rinktis tokį blaivų gėrimų derinimo variantą, nes tikrai ne kiekvienas restoranas tai siūlo. Dažniausiai reikia tenkintis kola, geriausiu atveju nealkoholiniu alumi. Padavėja mums įpylė po taurę putojančio balto Chardonay be alkoholio, kuris visiškai niekuo manęs nesužavėjo. Vėliau prie patiekalų buvo derinami fermentuoti arbatų gėrimai Copenhagen sparkling tea bei lietuviškos ACALA (balto ir raudono vyno stiliaus), kurie kur kas labiau džiugino savo skoniu bei aromatais. Pirmiausia buvo patiekti šefo komplimentai - dubenėlyje ant sausų raudonųjų pupelių patiekta žuvies spurgytė su juodaisiais ikrais bei traškus krepšelis su rūkytos žuvies įdaru. Labai subtilu ir prabangu (man ir šaukštelio tų juodų ikrų būtų užtekę). Neilgai trukus atplaukė nuostabiai skrudinta šukutė patiekta su juodaisiais ikrais, jūros ežiu, ryžiu traškučiu bei jūros ežių padažu. Toliau plaukė langustino uodega su vasariniais baltasiais triumais ir parmezano sūriu. Greta langustino uodegos buvo patiekta naan duona su rūkytu sviestu bei vištų ir kaulių odų spirgais. Šukutė bei langustino uodega buvo išties nuostabios, o štai rūkyto sviesto dūmo skonis stipriai užgožė visus kitus skonius ir dūmo poskinis dar gana ilgai buvo juntamas po vakarienės. Po jūros gėrybių pasirodymo buvo patiekta dar viena, bene tapybiškiausia vakaro stalo žvaigždė - dviejų krevečių - keptos ir lengvai marinuotos, ilgai troškinto kalmaro bei raudonųjų ryžių risotto, kompozicija su skirtingais žolelių aliejaus, kario, kalamarų rašalo padažais. Geras skonių ir vaizdo derinys - tiesiog Kandinskis lėkštėje. Pagrindiniai patiekalai. Vėl žuvis! Net man, mėgstančiai žuvį ir jūros gėrybes, šiame degustaciniame meniu šių produktų pasirodė kiek per daug. Na, bet toks šefo užmanymas, o aš, kaip klientė, pasirinkadama degustacinį menių, turiu priimti tokias šefo žaidimo taisykles. Taigi pirmam pagrindiniam patiekalui patiekta juodoji menkė su žalio kario padažu bei ryžių traškučiais. Neatsimenu kada paskutinį kartą valgiau tokią skanią žuvį - puikios tekstūros, riebi ir sultinga. Antras pagrindinis patiekalas - jautienos (pagaliau mėsa) nugarinė su kokosų ir jautienos kario padažu bei kepta bulve su rudeniniais triumais. Jautiena minkšta, bet tvirta. Bulvė kaip bulvė, o už jos geometrinę formą ploju katučių. Pagaliau labiausiai mano laukiama vakarienės dalis - desertas. Ir čia šefas nenuvylė patiekdamas juodojo česnako kremą su tamarindų ledais, pipiriniu ažūriniu traškučiu bei karamelizuotais lazdyno riešutais. Vaizduotė kuždėjo, kad juodasis česnakas ir desertas kaip ir nelabai dera, beeet,  kai neleidi vaizduotei įsijausti, užsimerki ir šaukšteliu užkabini česnakų kremo, ledų ir pipirinio traškučio, supranti, kad toks desertas tikrai neeilinis subtilumo pavyzdys. Po visko dar buvo mango šerbetas. Ir visai pabaigai - besišypsantys ir aukso dulkėmis tviskantys traškučiai su karamelės kremu ir juodaisiais ikrais. Skonių derinys puikus, tik tas auksas ir karamelinė šypsena labai jau kičinė pasirodė. Bet skonis nuostabus. Aptarnavimas geras, padavėjai paslaugūs, kalbūs, bet išlaikantys distanciją. Tik vietomis pasirodė, kad vieni padavėjai pasakoja vienus dalykus, o kiti po to tiem patiems dalykams prieštarauja. Dar vienas dalykas, kuris labai užkliuvo, tai dėmė ant stalo. Stalas buvo tiktai švarus, ta dėmė, matyt, atsiradusi nuo kažkada ant stalo padėto per karšto indo. Bet kuriuo atveju, gerausio vardo restoranas, kuris, sklinda gandas, yra realus pretendentas tapti Michelin žvaigždutės savininku, turėtų būti atidesnis tokiems dalykams.

Toliau plaukė langustino uodega su vasariniais baltasiais triumais ir parmezano sūriu. Greta langustino uodegos buvo patiekta naan duona su rūkytu sviestu bei vištų ir kaulių odų spirgais. Šukutė bei langustino uodega buvo išties nuostabios, o štai rūkyto sviesto dūmo skonis stipriai užgožė visus kitus skonius ir dūmo poskinis dar gana ilgai buvo juntamas po vakarienės. Po jūros gėrybių pasirodymo buvo patiekta dar viena, bene tapybiškiausia vakaro stalo žvaigždė - dviejų krevečių - keptos ir lengvai marinuotos, ilgai troškinto kalmaro bei raudonųjų ryžių risotto, kompozicija su skirtingais žolelių aliejaus, kario, kalamarų rašalo padažais. Geras skonių ir vaizdo derinys - tiesiog Kandinskis lėkštėje. Pagrindiniai patiekalai. Vėl žuvis! Net man, mėgstančiai žuvį ir jūros gėrybes, šiame degustaciniame meniu šių produktų pasirodė kiek per daug. Na, bet toks šefo užmanymas, o aš, kaip klientė, pasirinkadama degustacinį menių, turiu priimti tokias šefo žaidimo taisykles. Taigi pirmam pagrindiniam patiekalui patiekta juodoji menkė su žalio kario padažu bei ryžių traškučiais. Neatsimenu kada paskutinį kartą valgiau tokią skanią žuvį - puikios tekstūros, riebi ir sultinga. Antras pagrindinis patiekalas - jautienos (pagaliau mėsa) nugarinė su kokosų ir jautienos kario padažu bei kepta bulve su rudeniniais triumais. Jautiena minkšta, bet tvirta. Bulvė kaip bulvė, o už jos geometrinę formą ploju katučių. Pagaliau labiausiai mano laukiama vakarienės dalis - desertas. Ir čia šefas nenuvylė patiekdamas juodojo česnako kremą su tamarindų ledais, pipiriniu ažūriniu traškučiu bei karamelizuotais lazdyno riešutais. Vaizduotė kuždėjo, kad juodasis česnakas ir desertas kaip ir nelabai dera, beeet,  kai neleidi vaizduotei įsijausti, užsimerki ir šaukšteliu užkabini česnakų kremo, ledų ir pipirinio traškučio, supranti, kad toks desertas tikrai neeilinis subtilumo pavyzdys. Po visko dar buvo mango šerbetas. Ir visai pabaigai - besišypsantys ir aukso dulkėmis tviskantys traškučiai su karamelės kremu ir juodaisiais ikrais. Skonių derinys puikus, tik tas auksas ir karamelinė šypsena labai jau kičinė pasirodė. Bet skonis nuostabus. Aptarnavimas geras, padavėjai paslaugūs, kalbūs, bet išlaikantys distanciją. Tik vietomis pasirodė, kad vieni padavėjai pasakoja vienus dalykus, o kiti po to tiem patiems dalykams prieštarauja. Dar vienas dalykas, kuris labai užkliuvo, tai dėmė ant stalo. Stalas buvo tiktai švarus, ta dėmė, matyt, atsiradusi nuo kažkada ant stalo padėto per karšto indo. Bet kuriuo atveju, gerausio vardo restoranas, kuris, sklinda gandas, yra realus pretendentas tapti Michelin žvaigždutės savininku, turėtų būti atidesnis tokiems dalykams.
