The food was really not good. Dishes looked sad, did not match their description in the menu and looked nothing like their previous photos from last year. We had chorizo croquettas - the menu said it was supposed to be accompanied by chipotle mayo, pickled chilli and onion. Well, the mayo was there, but squirted on so unattractively and too much. Onion was nowhere to be found and chilli did not seem to have been pickled (at all or enough). Then followed the shrimps which were just 6 tiny shrimps with one piece of bread for EUR 13. The taste was okay, but the price for that amount is just crazy. Deep fried green olives were served with… sour cream. The menu says they were supposed to be served with yoghurt and chimichurri, but chimichurri was missing and sour cream was just wrong. Fish&chips were served with green mayo. The chips were cut too thin and so half of them were burned and hard to chew. Also what does fish&chips do in presumably spanish cuisine restaurant? The service mostly was ok, but the waiters were too keen to take our still half full drinks away so we felt stressed to always look out for them not to do so and guard our drinks. Honestly, do not go there (or at least until they change their chef to someone who knows about Spanish cuisine and, well, decent food), it is not...
Read moreWe visited in the summer of 2023, and it was amazing. That’s why we made it a must to come back, but this time I was quite disappointed. The menus had changed—they were smaller and not as interesting as before. Prices are on the high side compared to the quality of the food. Gambas was probably around 10€ or more but was only given ONE slice of bread…..
One thing I really disliked was that they no longer offer sangria by the jug, only as individual cocktails. If you call yourself a Spanish tapas restaurant, you should serve proper sangrias. On the positive side, the staff was proper and friendly. Truly...
Read moreVisited Pulpo Tapas Bar on a Saturday evening: booked a table successfully in advance; bar location was great, setting was cozy and welcoming. Helpful and friendly staff, being there on time and when needed, authenticity of the menu impressed - a great representation of unique Spanish tapas. Dishes though were a bit disappointing: shrimps in shrimp ceviche were completely overcooked while they're supposed to be raw in ceviches; sourness prevailed and the whole dished lacked balance with spiciness and saltiness. Mini octopuses in tempura were tender and lacked seasoning. Chorizo...
