We recently visited Ponių Laimė in Vilnius Old Town. At first glance, the café really draws you in – the charming exterior and beautifully decorated cake displays in the windows make it hard to resist stepping inside. However, the experience didn’t quite live up to the first impression. We were surprised to find that after ordering coffee and desserts, we had to carry everything to our own table, very much like a canteen. For a café that presents itself as elegant and exclusive, you naturally expect table service and a higher level of hospitality. The prices are also on the higher side, which makes the lack of service even more noticeable. The displays change with the seasons, so it can be interesting to pass by at different times of the year – Christmas, especially, is magical. Dissapointed in everything. Firstly they weight the food, which means the price that are written gives you illusion that its for one portion. But its really not and you can hardly see that small note thats says its for 100g. Secondly, food is too expensive for bistro. For tree spoons of soup, and some small fish i got 6eur. Again wouldnt complain, but the taste sucked. And finally - tablea are horrible, you cant sit comfortably in them, legs just dont fit. And i...

And when we visited this place, all the waiters were hanging out at one part of this place chatting etc. They saw we come in, but ignored that until we come and call them.. It's not what I want to do in the cafe. Same story happened when we were leaving, another person come in and nobody reacts.. That's weird. But after waitress finally talked to us, she was friendly and nice.. I don't understand how it works. Food is...
