Wow. Just wow.

We've been in Barcelona for almost two years now. We've found a couple of places with good pizza, but they are both across town from where we live. Now we've found a GREAT, authentic pizza, and it's on our side of town!

It turns out this place has earned its chops. The proprietors are "pizzaioli napolitanos." They understand the beauty and simplicity of a properly made pizza. They understand the dough, from its recipe to its execution. They understand that you don't need to offer hundreds of varieties of pizza, when a dozen or so, well-made, will satisfy.

Their menu features Neapolitan pizzas, calzones, lasagna and salads. We opted for the Quattro Stagioni (four seasons) pizza, featuring a spicy salami, sweet ham, artichoke hearts and mushrooms with mozzarella, basil and a tomato sauce worthy of its Neapolitan heritage. The thin crust had the perfect amount of burn marks, courtesy of their wood-fired oven. Our Caprese Salad of tomato slices interspersed with mozzarella, fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and olive oil was spot-on. My wife loved the light Italian wine they recommended to her to accompany the pizza. Yum!

Our server, Andrea, a young man also from Naples, KNOWS his stuff and was a delight to talk to. We were pressed for time (our movie was starting soon, a ten-minute walk from the restaurant), so we skipped dessert. Next time we'll plan accordingly, and ensure we have ample time to enjoy both the food AND the ambiance. The staff is warm and engaging - we really do look forward to...

If you're in Barcelona and craving authentic, mouthwatering pizza, Madre Lievito is an absolute must-visit! We popped in for dinner while on holiday, and let me tell you, it was a culinary highlight of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of energy—thanks to Luigi, who was absolutely killing it in the kitchen on what was clearly a busy night. He turned out pizzas with precision and care, and it showed in every bite.

The service was equally impressive. The waitress was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home, despite the hustle and bustle. The food arrived quickly, which was a pleasant surprise, especially given how packed the place was.

As for the pizza itself? Perfect. Thin, crisp crusts, topped with the freshest ingredients and bursting with flavor. Each slice was a little slice of heaven. The portions were generous—no skimping here!

All in all, a fantastic experience that left us planning our return. Whether you’re here for a casual meal or a special night out, Madre Lievito delivers on all fronts: excellent food, top-tier service, and an authentic Italian vibe you won’t forget. Can’t...

[ \text{Organic Compound} + \text{O}_2 \rightarrow \text{CO}_2 + \text{H}_2O + \text{Heat} ]

This happens because the edge of the pizza is exposed to higher temperatures, oxidizing and burning the dough and garlic.

Evaporation Reaction in the Middle of the Pizza:

[ \text{H}_2\text{O}(\text{liquid}) \rightarrow \text{H}_2\text{O}(\text{gas}) ]

In the middle of the pizza, the heat is transferred less efficiently, so the water in the dough does not evaporate completely, keeping it moist.

El local no tiene desperdicio, con una decoración que parece llevarte a Nápoles tan solo cruzar sus puertas, la ropa tendida sobre las cabezas te da la sensación de estar cenando en uno sus barrios. La masa de la pizza aunque yo no pude probarla porque no había opción gluten free tenia muy buena pinta, mi amiga que si la comió me hizo el comentario, que pena Sory que no puedas probarla porque esta tremenda, yo comi la Burrata con tomate cor de bou y pesto de albahaca de primero, de segundo la Parmigiana de Berenjenas Preparado con salsa de tomate San Marzano DOP, queso fior di latte y albahaca, todo muy rico.

The place gives you an atmosphere of a little local place in Italy, the staff is very nice but the tables can be a little small if you are planning on ordering a lot of things at the same time. In addition, I would like to suggest to book a table before getting there as most of the tables are booked and the place is getting crowded pretty fast in the evening.

El local no tiene desperdicio, con una decoración que parece llevarte a Nápoles tan solo cruzar sus puertas, la ropa tendida sobre las cabezas te da la sensación de estar cenando en uno sus barrios. When you hear that you have an Italian pizza in Barcelona you would think that it at least few levels below what you had in Italy itself, however, this place serves a pizza few levels above the ones you can find in the origin country. We got a pizza with 3 different toppings, while the sides are meat and the middle is a combination of cheeses. It is soft and very delicious, the only downside for me was the fact that is not very possible to eat it without a fort and a knife. The place gives you an atmosphere of a little local place in Italy, the staff is very nice but the tables can be a little small if you are planning on ordering a lot of things at the same time.
