Few days before the month of ramadhan stopby at Pelita Ampang Point for breakfast. On our way to Cheras for a good cause clearing my late parents grave at Cheras Perdana. Sorry to say, very disappointed to find the restaurant service not like in those days 10 years back. It used to be quite a popular place for amongst the ampang residents. Maybe time has passby that many restaurants has been open so people have many choices. So back to my story, my elder brother, my sis in law and myself..So we ordered roti canai biasa..one piece each ..drink we had teh tarik nescafe..The roti canai not so fluffy as it use to be in those days. Abit cold..I realised that my brother was grumbling about the roti canai. As I know Pelita Ampang Point use to be a popular place among people in the Klang Valley. Eventhough there are many restaurants alike but u must maintain your reputation as being one of the popular restaurant around once. The.service is very poor..in my opinion as I seen with my own eyes. As we finish our breakfast, my brother left with a disgusting feeling dissatisfied after paying the bills. This is my honest opinion of the place. Let's the people be the judge...
Read moreThis mamak place is one the better ones in Ampang, and dare I say in KL. However, the management has to be ashamed by overworking their staff the last time I went there. My order was only taken almost 20 mins after sitting down. But I put zero blame on the workers on the floor as there were too few of them. The place was packed from wall to wall. There were no empty table at all, where one long table is shared by different groups of patrons as per usual, but there were not more 10 staff on duty in total. Nope, not 10 staff on the floor. 10 tireless men holding the place together. There were 1-2 guys making the drinks, one roti canai/thosai guy, one goreng2 guy, and the others acted as the waiters/table cleaners/cashier/etc. Stop beating around the bush by saying that there's no intake of migrant workers for so long. I call BS! Last time I checked, the unemployment rate in Malaysia was not 0%. There's plenty of untapped local workforce. Stop being too stingy in your employee's pay, or the customers would stop coming when the service quality is repetitively...
Read moreIf you plan to eat or tapau 'simple' nasi kandar without wanted to spend so much, here is one tip for you.
There are 2 types of Ayam Goreng. One is 'normal' ayam goreng; cost you around RM5-6 per piece and another is ayam 'goreng berempah' which will cost you RM9-10 per piece. Please be aware, you may need to ask the joki before you pick the chicken. JUST ASK. I've tried both, basically taste the same but not the pricing. Quite confusing as they put these 2 types of chicken in the same tray & location. Call me kedekut, i don't mind. I ate here because of my crave for nasi kandar, the normal one 😅
I'm not saying they cheat or scam. NO. But they just won't tell you this. Well, just that. The curry & everything is good & still enough to satisfy my damn crave. To those who find this tip useful,...
