Came here, at around 5.30 pm on Saturday afternoon, with five school friends after visited a friend warded at the nearby hospital KPJ Ampang Puteri. Just cross the road and we can find this restaurant.
Parking could be a problem for Ampang Point area. The best is to park at the hospital and walk.
We ordered based on the Chef’s Recommendation on the menu (thumb up logo). Reasonable wait for 20 minutes.
The soup foods were very good. Big portions. Suitable for two persons for each order. The soup taste is among the best.
The fried foods are also fresh and tasty. The pastes (red and black) are provided separately in ketchup bottles which is very convenient.
Chicken wings are also fresh and tasty. No complaints.
The price is a bit higher compared to similar yong tau foo restaurants but it’s not that bad given the big portions and good taste.
The service also not that bad. The staff are friendly and efficient.

She was telling us to get our utensils on our own after ordered the food, but we cant hear clearly what she said and requested a repetition and her tone became even angrier. We were first time there btw, so when we wanted to bill, we walked towards somewhere which looks like cashier (but not) and another lady said, “want bill ah? Go to cashier la!” Well okay, I wonder what made them so angry as if we owed them 1billion. We are totally offended. If you have a lot of customers, we can understand, but there were no one to serve anymore at that time. Meanwhile, for the food part, lets put away the rude manners of the worker, but honestly just so-so, could slightly below average. Overall, it was a unpleasant dining....
Read moreHome Town Yong Tow Foo offers a satisfying dining experience with its fast service and helpful staff. The standout dishes included the fresh and soft chee cheong fun, both the amazing fried and soup soi kow, and the well-balanced sawi vegetables. On the downside, the fried soi kow was a bit chewy and the fried chicken could use a bit more seasoning but was made better with the complementing ginger sauce.
The vibe is typical of a family-owned restaurant, it's all cozy like a family hangout. In terms of food pricing, it's a tad above the norm – think around RM30 per person.
TLDR: Home Town Yong Tow Foo dishes out speedy service, top picks like the chee cheong fun, fried soi kow, and soup soi kow. The chill family-style vibe matches the price tag, and even though it's a bit more on the spendy side, the flavors make...
