Location: Near Sembulan Roundabout, parking space just reasonable but doubtful if a lot of customers.
Dining Space: Reasonable. However, when I dine in this evening 13/2/2022, tried to take a table outside area (facing the Sembulan market), there was a foul smell, suspected from the drain nearby), so changed our mind not to sit in that area. We sat outside, in the area facing the Grace Garden.
Food variety: Available as stated in their menu. Tried their set menu for 2 pax at RM43/set. It consist of "Sup tulang", veggie with mushroom, plain telur dadar (no onions), and chicken with onion mixed with "sayur kacang panjang", plus 2 glasses of ice lemon tea. Taste is just average, nothing special. The Sup Tulang however, is quite dissapointing as not to my expectation.
Service: No ushers to welcome. Sorry to say service is a a bit slow and the server is not very friendly. Had to wait around 20+ minutes for our food to arrive. We had to ask/beg for our drinks when food was already served on d table and had taken our food. It took sometime before the drinks arrived. No chillies no soya sauce ready on the table and had to ask for it and with an unpleasant look by the server/s.
Overall comments: Being the first timer to this place, I was attracted by the posters hung around the restaurant especially facing the roadside, namely my favourite dish "Sup Gearbox" . We had just came back from a long drive from Sipitang, and had the eagership of trying the "Sup Gearbox" then. So rushed to the restaurant found a nice parking spot near d entrance of d restaurant and arrived at 5.40pm. However, felt frustrated the gearbox dish was not available then, as out of stock. So had to find alternative, Sup Tulang. But was frustrated again by the service etc. It might be my first and last visit, as always, my concept is the first impression will determine my next visit. I felt really downhearted. Lots of room for...
Read moreGood points:- 1)Location wise is a good spot. Just at the corner of the sembulan roundabout.
2)Colourful lighting and very attractive. 3)Not too busy or too loud. A fair place to bring family and friends to eat.
4)variety of payments method (grab, boost, card, cash)
5)price: competitive, not too expensive nor cheaper
6)clean compound
Food choice:- Selection Varieties from ala carte to sets Those “goreng-goreng food (nasi goreng, bihun goreng and its family)” only available up to 6pm.
For dinner, u can try a variety of seafood selections, soups, different kinds of vegetables, eggs.. etc
Unfortunately after a few occasions having dinner here, few things to be considered:-
1)parking slot very limited. U can park over the pavement and walk into the cafe. But the area is dark and a high risk for accidents especially near to roundabout.
2)slow service -despite less customer, the order taking and the food serving time take quite a long time. Estimate about 30-40mins. -the taste of the foods are palatable but not as expected.
I hope that they can improve more on their services and be more successful with their business.
Thanks for the...
Read moreWe had our dinner here yesterday.Pricing was okay but the food taste wasn’t good. It’s mutiara tom yam so we ordered Tom yam since it’s one of their signature dish. The tomyam was 4/10. If you looking for the best tomyam, this is not the place. And the only item in the chicken tomyam was chicken, holland onion, lemongrass & sprinkles of coriander. No vegetables in the tomyam soup. Chicken butter portion was good but again, the taste is 4/10. It too milky. The butter and milk was unbalanced and make it taste too greasy. Nasi goreng kampung also 4/10. Their mango juice was 7/10.
Food price kinda pricey & not suitable with the taste. Again, if you looking for the best tomyam, this is...
