We had an amazing stay at this property (Summit lodge specifically)!
Pros: Amazing view of the mountain right outside the main balcony in the morning Dedicated, friendly and accommodating staff; they are always anticipating our needs! Good selection of food in the two restaurants offered in the park Great location - no need to drive at all to get to the trails, we had a lot of fun hiking around the park Free wifi in the room was decent Fireplace, with firewood provided (if you need a top up, it's chargeable though. We didn't need a top up for the two nights we stayed there). They also set up the fire for you, they are literally just a ring away. Laundry service is available Beautiful quaint lodges with nice firm mattresses, clean interior, all toiletries provided Many trails are available for hikers in the park other than the obvious climb up the mountain A radiator is also provided for cold nights
Cons: No umbrellas provided in the lodge - it rains rather frequently, this is a simple upgrade that can benefit guests staying here (we also stayed at the Poring property owned by the same company and they provide umbrellas in the lodge) Only one torch light - provide two at least since the lodge can technically sleep 4 at least. The park is rather dark at night when you are walking about. Another simple upgrade that can benefit the guests staying here. This is not necessary but would be nice to have: some binoculars. There are many species of birds here in the morning and bird watching is quite popular in the park. It would be a nice add on if binoculars are provided / or are available for rent. Update all signs on the trails. Many signs are either missing or are extremely faded. We got lost a few times. It'll be good but unnecessary if the park could rate the hikes and provide more information at the start of the trail - distance, difficulty, incline, natural path/ steps/ gravel? It'll also be extremely helpful to have a poster at the park entrance or at the major restaurants for trail closures / conditions.
All in all, it was a really good stay, the staff were great, the rooms were excellent, location is great, Summit lodge would be perfect for a...

If you are staying for 1 night, you should arrive around noon, visit their mini waterfall/ go for canopy walking. Then, the next morning, you might want to enjoy the hotspring as early as 7 am, have breakfast and go for other activities available there, eg butterfly farm/bat cave.
We booked River Lodge, worth every penny. 1 drawback is that they have a large bathtub but then the hot water did not last long. After awhile, it...
