I am not a local here and I came here on recommendation and based on online reviews. The food itself was good, but what unfortunately made the whole experience worse was the terrible customer service. We were two pax, and when we ordered our food I pointed on the menu what I wanted (fresh fish with tomato soup) as I cannot speak the local language. After ordering our drinks and food, we waited about 20 minutes and in that time, two tables either side of us had been served drinks AND food. Considering it was a bit busy, I didn’t mind this so much but following this, when our food arrived, what I had ordered wasn’t correct. As I am not local, my husband asked to change on my behalf. After asking a waitress about this, then 2 more waitresses came together to talk about it and then I am then blamed for ordering wrongly with the staff standing by our table. How intimidating. And in the end, we are left frustrated that nothing was done and they refused to change my soup.. even though it wasn’t what I ordered. I am a paying customer and this small matter cannot be dealt with by 3 waitresses? All it would’ve taken was an apology and my dish to be what I wanted. not just debating who was correct or what, this is unprofessional and not how paying customers should be treated. The 2 star is because the food was good. Not any more because of bad customer service. A restaurant isn’t just good because of food alone, you need good reputation for treating customers well too. In future, I hope the staff can be properly trained to deal with simple matters like this in a professional manner, not just whine like a child and put the blame on the customer. You will lose customers this way. Very, very...
Read moreThe portion here is massive, the size is like a medium or even a large compared to other ala carte restaurants. The Tom Yum Mee goreng is very fragrant and flavorful. We liked it so much that we ordered Tom Yum Meehoon Goreng during our 2nd visit. Parking is not too bad. This restaurant offers both non air conditioning and air conditioning seating areas. Service is quite fast, as you sit down, staff will swing by with menus and are ready to take your order. During peak hours, there might be a slight delay for the food to come out depending on what you order. We visited this place about 3 times within a month, the drinks here are very bland and severely watered down. The fried wonton is puffy and has a soft and soggy skin towards the middle, which is just okay. The fried fu chuk is very crispy and much more enjoyable to eat compared to the fried wontons. This restaurant offers a wide array of variety of dishes which is great for big groups or big families. They do have high chairs and the restaurant is clean. The restroom is located towards the back in the air conditioning...
Read moreWorst experience. Not recommended. There are many better places for sup ikan in town.
The crew were clearly not well trained. We placed our order directly from the menu, pointing item by item to the staff. First, we ordered Mun Ikan and added on Mee Hoon Soup Kosong. The staff then asked us to choose a soup base, and even told us Tom Yum was an option. But later she returned to say Tom Yum was actually not in the list, so we switched to Tomato soup instead.
After a long wait, they only served the Fish Mun—without any empty plate, making it difficult to eat. Ten minutes later, they finally brought a tomato clear soup. After asking several times, another staff member eventually came with plain boiled mee hoon, served with a poker face.
The fish was not fresh. Portion mentioned 3-4paxs but not as advertised. Disappointing service, long waiting time, and poor communication. Definitely...
