Upperstar — Restaurant in Borneo

The food was good. The only thing I can't stand is the workers etiquette. I have never seen a diner with such unspeakable etiquette even a mamak or kopitiam staff has better etiquette. My husband was sitting outside smoking and out of nowhere, one of the female worker just sat at the same table where my husband was without saying anything. Maybe that's the usual table where the staff will hangout/take a break but even so, u should put a notice on that particular table so that the customer know about it. Or maybe have different design of table and chair for staff only. Cos soon after that incident, another workers hangout at that same table but oh my god. Sitting on the chair handle with your shoes rest on the seat? Where's your etiquette????? The table is just infront of the entrance door and us customer can see this! Another situation on the same day is we have group of workers hanging out at different table just next to us and making noises. Not sure if this is another staff 'hangout table' which placed at the same area as the customer's. I worked in F&B industry before and we never rest/hangout at the same area with the customer. Upperstar Plaza 333, you seriously need to look into this. It's not only affecting your reputation but also our country's. Imagine customer from other state or country see these behaviour? Malu oh saya.. Seriously, eventho bukan sy tu worker, sy yg malu tgk gaya...

My first time to Upperstar since the last 10 years and my first to this outlet, I'm pleased that it lives up to it's brand, nice place to chill, nice ambiance. Waiters seemed attentive but not really. There was a bday in the outlet and they played a lively HB song, but while the waiters did clap their hands loudly, they all looked like they 'kena paksa', senyuman lansung tidak sampai mata. Lepas lagu ok bye dengan bad mood haha. I want to join HB pun I segan. We ordered Chicken curry rice, which arrived within the first 10 minutes after the order - cold. Maybe it was pre-cooked. But I'm very hungry so I don't complain. The portion was big and the plating was pretty, and it was ok la sedap kalau warm would be better. I ordered iced Nescafe which is on the menu but the waiter panicked and asked the bar ada Nescafe kaaaa haha. No worries. We ordered baked chicken soup but regular soup arrived which they fixed once we checked. We ordered Club Sandwich which never arrived even after we asked 2 times, waiters disappear into kitchen and maybe forgot... then no mention about it till we pay for it. Overall, I will say, go there for ambiance but wait service have much to improve. And hope they do, it would be a shame otherwise, because obviously I see that it's not even a full house night. Anyway, I will come again but I will eat in...

Set in Plaza 333 commercial area which provides opportunities for fine dinning, drinking bars and other night life activities. Restaurant is located in an easy-to-find nice neighbourhood. However, looking for a parking space at night at most times may prove to be a challenging task.

Restaurant in general is quite busy with almost full capacity. Finding a place to sit never posses any difficulty though. It has a warm & cosy atmosphere which is ideal for birthday celebrations, meal gatherings with friends or just a peacful meal on your own. Waiters & waitresses are friendly, polite & professional.

After placing meal orders, drinks are always quickly served without much waiting. Time taken for first meal on order to arrive is reasonable considering the number of patronage in the restaurant. I personally find the choices of burgers on the menu are very good values in terms of portions and price. Some items like fish & chips or grilled chicken come in meager portions though.

My several previous occassions of patronage here had always been pleasant ones. A good choice for dinning to be...
