It could have been 5, but 2 is fair enough coz of the meals. The lamb n the dry aged wagyu steak, spend a lot of money on those 2 with bad experience feeling. During MCO, it is a fresh air that its allowed to dine in with following strict SOP max of 2 person, but it got ruined today with you. Arrived 5:57pm with reservation 6pm, with still only 2 customer including us. Got neglected, probably coz they just open at 5:30pm n still preparing things. Understandable. Check the menu and ordered at 6:11pm, which suppose to be included the starter of truffle hokkaido scallop but it never served, only directly the main course, the lamb n the dry aged steak. The main course, came after more than 1 hour later, at around 7:28pm. Finished just bout 20 minutes coz so freakin hungry. The starter itself?, have to follow up and asked bout it, they claimed it coz of the new server. Im not so sure how that related to the order that failed to served. Ordered blackcurrant blueberry as per advised if want a sweet yet cold type of drink. Then, ended up later to ask some sugar coz it has no strong flavor at all. Just like drinking cold water. Asking for the dessert in the beginning, said its pre-order only but will give update if ever its possible. It didnt make it too, hmm.. Thanks, but no thanks aura steakhouse. You may have a super lot of customers, surely losing one wont be a big issue. I’m a steak lover, yet im hesitate to recommend urs. Hence, if u can improve yet maintain well ur service without giving such irrelevant excuses of new waiter, fully book, etc. Will be good, n best of luck for that. Those can be tackle with well preparation n quick action response accordingly to a hectic...
Read moreThis place deserves a special shout out! Awesome food and wine, over the top service and fantastic atmosphere! Had a business dinner at this joint, fantastic food, nice set up and exceptional service! Special shout out to the main server - Joey with her service level! Started with calling the restaurant for reservation but they mistakenly thought we were trying to make a reservation for another branch which was closed for the night telling us that we couldn't make a reservation politely. Realizing the mistake, she actually did a call back an hour later to verify which branch we were trying to book and got us the booking since the branch was actually opened. The restaurant was set up in a pre-war building with great rustic feel but yet classy at the same time. Food was great, especially the house specialty - Hokkaido scallops with caviar and the corn fed Porterhouse that was cooked to perfection (it comes with a hot stone for customers to do additional searing of the steak to their preferred doneness, nice way of making sure that the entire party can enjoy the steak at their individual preferred doneness!), blends nicely with the unique special house made steak sauce with egg yolk. The service staff went above and beyond making sure that we were well served the entire night, they topped it off by removing an ordered item (Japanese Kabuto) off the bill as we fed back that the dish was a little underwhelming! As we were about to leave the place, Joey - yet again showcased their incredible service level by bringing out packets of their specially imported Bulgarian Rose Tea as goody bags for the entire party as their appreciation! Kudos to the team at Aura, will definitely be back and highly...
Read moreWas an unpleasant and disappointing meal!! Not recommended!! A total of 6 paxs had our dinner there. 2 of us ordered the truffle lobster pasta (rm188 each), steak (rm258), salmon, pork loin and some on trays. Was quite a long wait but it was alright until we found that the lobster is not fully cooked. We talked to one of the staff, and it was taken away and we didn’t know what is the solution until asked them. They told us that we are going to put the lobsters back in the oven. After waiting, they served us with a full cooked but dried out lobster. They did not heat up the pasta, so in the end we had cooled pasted with dried out lobster. Totally disgusting. We told the staff this is not right and we refused to take it back the meal like that, but they insisted that they can’t do anything about it. Out of kindness, we accepted it. Additional information, the lobster head wasn’t well cooked as well and it’s smelly. After awhile, the staff came to us and clarified that they normally cook the lobster 70% cooked as some customer complained that fully cooked lobster is too hard for them. What we stated was, if is that case we should be asked earlier regarding on how we would like to have our lobster done , just like steak or salmon which they did asked.
The staffs were very impolite and rude when we were paying the bill. They stated that: “they cannot do anything!”, with grinning faces. Very rude and disrespectful. I do not recommend this place! Please keep your foot out of this restaurant if you don’t want to get some...
