Basically, Fisherman's wharf is a large foodcourt by the sea offering almost countless number of different food options. The entire area sits on reclaimed land as part of Penang's expansion project many years ago, and now the area offers food, nightlife and other activity options for the area. Get ready to have your senses explode when you enter this food court. It is a large area that has countless number of food stalls and a very large dining area as well. The way to go about things is to find a place to sit first, note the table number, and then go order your food. Without the table number, your food may never arrive. There are also different sections of the food court that offer different things. For instance, there is an area specifically for the steamboat diners, there is a chu char area and also for street food, there is another area where you can find for bak, jiu hoo eng chye, satay etc. The main dining area offers unparalleled views of the coastline, and is a treat if you visit in the early evening. Night time views are a little dim and doesn't offer much. There is one thing about food courts and the food here - nothing really stands out as being very good as all the food is only passable. It is the convenience of having all these choices under one roof which makes it an attractive proposition. All in all, it's a good place to visit to sample the different street foods. But bear in mind, it's just so-so and there are always better options elsewhere.

Dinner time! Because living nearby at automall, this is the nearest food court. There's plenty of stall(around 40). Plenty of international dishes(Arab, Japanese, Korean, Germany, Thai and many others) and many others state Chinese dishes. We have order 5 dishes. 1. Siew Yuk: Its a Chinese fried pork with crispy skins and juicy meat and the taste is not too salty. Seriously it quite tasty. 2. Stir-fried Glutinous Rice & Tomyam Beehoon: This dishes I feel quite nice too. Sticky and delicious. Tomaym Beehoon is normal abit with plenty of basil on it. 3. Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken: Although it taste similar to many Nasi lemak, however its delicious. 4. Siew Long Pao: It's a shanghai traditional pao that steam with meat and soup inside the pao. We need to eat it with spoon and chopsticks. The flour skin is normal but the meat is quite tasty. 5. Arabian Pizza: Actually is quite nice but the flavor is not my taste. Drinks is delicious too. Having nice music with nice specs. Can sing karaoke here><. Price is middle high. Environment Nice but seat near to seaside abit stinks. Overall is satisfied, so far all food is good. Unfortunately, that day is raining heavy that the rain water spread over inside the cover eating area. It's a place to relax and chill having some beer and snack that plenty of option can choose.

Parking : 5 stars Ambience : 3.5 stars Price : 3.5 stars Cleanliness : 4 stars Food : 4 stars We are here for a dinner, and first you need to search for a place to sit first then proceed to order your food and let them know you table no. For drinks, you can order and collect at the counter to have a 0.20 discount for self service. (except for beer, sky juice) we ordered a kopi peng big cup for 3.70 which is worth the price as it is really big. Most of the stalls are quite pricey. All we're mostly above RM10. There are singers too but i would prefer just someone to play a YouTube music. Ventilation is a bit bad as it was crowded and there were only wall fans. We were sweating the whole time. Tomyam minced pork : RM6.50 -Quite yummy, the broth is thick, only bihun and Maggi available. 2 meat balls and some minced pork. Worth the price Salted egg yolk chicken rice : RM7 -quite nice but towards the end was a bit too jelak for us to finish. Soup was a bit tasteless. Kopi Peng : RM3.70 -thick but not too thick, big cup and 3/4 drink 1/4 ice. Will I come again? May be..

Local fake of one of my most memorable childhood walks along the iconic Port of San Francisco wharf, without the yapping sealions but plenty of seafood cooking here. Penang Lam mee is done home style by old aunty here and is worth a try, if only to rekindle another of mum's homecooked meals during school days. Of course, my cranky schoolmate insists on this noodle dish done at home, but then again, in reality he ain't getting it anymore at home with his home buddy. So those in the same predicament, the yellow noodles (RM5.50) are al dente with generous taugeh, boiled pork, shredded omelette and shrimps in a shellfish bone broth, a delight with little MSG after taste. The Cantonese char hor fan(RM8) is not exceptional but the queue is long. The seafood restaurant tucked at the edge of the wharf serves up local seafood for tourists. The sharks fin(RM20) was not real but some mung bean version in a thick broth. The squid rings were soggy and full of flour. The freshwater prawn was delicious but came at a hefty price RM120 for 300g.

This is a place where tourists get cheated with high prices and very bad food. Sar Hor Fan - gooey and tatsr is blend. No wok hey. (2/5) Or chien - the batter, instead of gooey, is lumpy soaked with oil. Dry. Osyter seems dry too (1/5) Char Koay teow - normal friend Koay teow. Not the char Koay teow Penang should be proud off (1/5) Fried kailan (Thai stall) - taste ok. Best dish among them all (3/5) Bbq sting ray - owner was nice enough to provide a non chili version for our toddler. Garlicy version felt not bad. M sure chili version will be good. (3/5) Satay - portion is generous (3/5) Also the place is full of flies waiting to pounce on your food. Even with the mega large fans it does not shoo them away. Apart from all the terrible things mentioned. This seems to be a good spot for beers enjoying the sunset. Just drink no need food.

One of the worst food courts in Penang, or maybe all over Malaysia. The large car park and nice sea view can't make up for the bad taste of all the food in the restaurant. Each stall has a ridiculously large menu with so many items, which leads to everything tasting bad. The prices are even more ridiculous; you can find restaurants with air conditioning where the food is much cheaper and, of course, tastes better. The most annoying thing is that they allow smoking everywhere. Every table and corner is full of smokers. The place isn't owned by gangsters, is it? Why does nobody bother about the KKM law banning smoking? So, smokers, this is a haven for you to come and smoke till you die. If you are with children or people you love, please stay away from this place if you do not want to get cancer from secondhand smoke.
