HINODE RAMEN (ひのでラーメン) is a very unique Kyoto (京都) style Japanese Ramen restaurant located at the Karpal Singh Drive (KSD). The restaurant has a few soup varieties to choose and served with RAMEN or UDON. What's best in HINODE RAMEN is their signature 昆布鰹節ラーメン (昆布柴鱼清汤拉面), which is served with ODEN 关东煮 (おでん) , TEMPURA 天妇罗 (天ぷら) and ONSEN TAMAGO (温泉卵). You can choose your favourite side dishes - either ODEN and/or TEMPURA both together and each comes with SPICY MALA or KOMBU soup. For those who does not like fancy but a simple Ramen, they can also choose to opt out the snacks. You will be surprised that all the Dine in customers are queuing up patiently to choose their big plate of ODEN and TEMPURA. I am a big eater and trust me, it is so much attractive for me to have to revisit the restaurant again and again to have all varieties tried and they are just so Scrumptious おいしい Oishī !!! Out of so much varieties, i would strongly recomending the TAKO ODEN 章鱼关东煮 たこおでん, White Radish 白萝卜 大根, Fried Enoki Mushroom 炸金针菇 えのき茸の炒め物, Fried Lotus Root 炸莲藕 レンコンの揚げ物。Not to forget also their Signature GREEN SAUCE (sweet and sour, Slightly spicy) added the kick on the taste buds too. I would rate this restaurant as the BEST JAPANESE RAMEN, BEST ODEN, BEST TEMPURA in Georgetown! They also have a branch newly opened in Queenshall inside the Queensbay Mall at the top level floor. LOVE...
Read moreBefore I start the review: the lady said they have no halal cert, but it is pork free and that the chicken is halal sourced. So make it what you want.
Honest review: it was decent. The ingredients are basic, I ordered the miso ramen. The miso was flavourful but the soft boiled egg was not even marinated. It was lacking flavour. The noodles were nothing special. But what stood out was the side dish, the chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The tempura was disappointing though, it was crispy but it tasted like the prawn...
Read moreAverage food - thin watered down soup. You get a bowl of ramen/udon with 2 slices of fish cake for RM 7/6.50, depending on the noodle flavour. Then you have to pick your own oden.
Order process - apparently you tell your ramen order to the cook first, pick your oden, then repeat your order again to the counter guy. And hope he understands basic English.
Self serve for everything, including collecting your food. Mostly outdoor seating.
Personally won’t be back, there’s better...
