Worst experience ever!

The pictures of the food looked great, but that was the only thing positive about this place. After waiting for over an hour (due to the restaurant's delay in cooking), the delivery driver got here in 18 minutes and was efficient. But now for the real issue: the food arrived stone-cold, as if it had been sitting around for hours. You could clearly tell it wasn’t freshly cooked—it felt like they heated up leftovers from yesterday and sent them over.

The salad had an overpowering fishy smell, which almost made me gag, and it was soggy with water, a clear sign it wasn’t fresh. The bread? Not even close to being baked at the restaurant. It was obviously pre-made, and it was literally like bread 😂..

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Don’t waste your time or money here as I trashed my food and went down to eat Maggie 😩.

Since I found this place on Grab, I've been coming back multiple times a week. Everything is on point!

Legit Arabic/Turkish food. Our favourites are:

The Turkish pide (dough is perfectly chewy, soft n sweet (get the garlic + cheese one, its made on a base of toum!)

Biryani rice is excellent and if you're dining in, get the lamb kofta, but otherwise the mandi chicken is amazing and so generous in portion (a half chicken!?)

Potato samosas, a little spicy but very very good even when ordered takeout.

Hummus, I cannot get enough!

Sometimes the kebab/shish tawouk can be a little dry, and the bukhari is a bit meh if you're expecting a rich curry that locals are used to, but everything else on the menu is solid and priced well.

Even the shisha is generous and very reasonably priced. Plus they open till 1am!

Got a Grab Food delivery in. Our orders - Shish Taouk wrap and fries and Family Platter for 2-3 pax. Superbly packed and delivered quickly. Poor packaging is common here in Penang and disrespectful to the paying customer, often making a mess. In this case not a drop of sauce was spilt, even the fries came in crispy. The platter came with the Mandi chicken and Bukhari lamb with a really generous amount of spiced rice. Both were cooked to perfection and the meats were moist. The lamb was soft and came off the bone with ease. The spice level was just right. The wrap was fantastic, too. Very tasty accompanying dips of yoghurt and garlic and and outstanding muhamarra.
